I joke about it but sometimes I say the real meaning of the game is that the true horror is homework 😭

ah well the way the timings feel fair is that if any two attacks overlap, one of the attacks will be stalled and queued to occur after the previous one. so i set the queue to be just the right timing so it feels like you barely made it out alive
this is most apparent with the bunny and the knocker. probably multiple times you were in the closet and heard knocking and had just the perfect amount of time to reach the door. its on purpose :)
actually in the case where the knocker and the bunny attack at the same time, one of the attacks will be stalled and queue to occur after another one has happened
so if you hear knocking while in the closet there is 100% certainty you can get behind the door in time with about a second or two to spare
brilliant.
often theres one game with the best visuals
a different game with the best mechanics
a different game with the best audio
a different game with the best ui
this is the first time im seeing a jam game thats all of those at the same time. i managed to 100% every level except for the last one (i just couldn't figure it out). i pretty much never reveal my ratings of a game, but this is 5 stars all around. im blown away
and im following every single dev that worked on this
the art is really really good and the concept is also really clever, i don't think ive even seen a mechanic quite like it.
it is pretty difficult tho. it would be nice for the motivation bar to refill at the start of each stage or as others have mentioned checkpoints. but balancing is tough during a jam anyways. really smart and cool game anyways
people often come in game jams to make something new or technically impressive.
its not often devs come in with the objective to make you feel
this game made me feel, and thats something most game jam games miss. is it the most technically impressive game on this jam? no. but it might be one of the most memorable and in the end i think thats even more important.
great art, fantastic music. good job
ah there's two possibilities. either you're not in fullscreen which causes some input's to not get registered orrr its your pc
in the latter case, there is a exe file version included in the description but ive literally never even tested it. but it should fix any bugginess caused by chrome being a pain
i tend to love turn based games... and this is no exception
absolutely brilliant. the art is amazing, there's like 6 different playable characters, so many enemy types, and actual gameplay that makes me scratch my head.
the art is fantastic, the music is immaculate. this is my current top contender to win this jam.. but that can change ofc. i will be following you guys as devs and am looking forward to what you guys make next.
