I agree, some accessibility options for colours would be very good to add. As well as some general juice to make everything feel that much better! "best game in the jam" ;-; <3 im gonna cry

oh some screenshake would go hard at specific moments for sure!

The guy unplugging your computer is actual gold! Oddly enough I dont know if it was me or the game but i got stuck at 99% and no matter what i did i couldn't beat the game (could just be a skill issue though idk)

I can def look into that issue, thank you for pointing it out ^-^ But i'm glad other than that issue you enjoyed it!

The art is sooooo good! the wind up mechanic for jumping and interacting is really fun too

This is crazy fun and I def wanna see it as a full game. There is some really fun stuff you could expand upon in this 100%

Yoooooo i used to play that game so much! that's such a huge compliment to me <3

I'M so happy you enjoyed it! and no, not my first game but the first ive seen to completion essentially (have worked on 1-2 games before this and have a larger main project going, so still relatively new)

beat all the levels! It was very unique and quite fun (though i wish there was a sfx or vfx for the boost button) I also managed to get the pendulum swinging in a perfect circle and it only got faster and faster which was really funny (also the final level boost button saying Bib Loost was really funny, don't know if it was intentional or not but enjoyed it)

the art is really well done and the levels were fun. The cannons were my favourite (i got bambozzled as i didnt know they would spin, so the very first one i got into i shot myself right into the spikes immediately)

The fact the fight portion takes place on the beat of the music i really like. I struggled a bit at the beginning, especially because my keyboard isnt full size and doesn't have proper arrow keys. So possibly having wasd support would be nice

the cat is so CUTE! as little gameplay there was, there was still enjoyment i got out of it and i loved it

The black and white artstyle is cool but the lack of coyote timing made certain jumps feel more unfair than difficult

I'm so glad you enjoyed the game! It made me so happy reading this ^-^

Gonna admit, at first i just thought it was a looping menu screen but after figuring it out this was really cool! And the atmosphere it created was really fun. Had me wanting more

Was tricky at first (mainly cause I didnt realise you needed to press space to submit an answer but figure it out pretty quick) but was neat having to multitask like that

Was fun! My only thing was the camera felt very zoomed in and felt a bit claustrophobic,  made it hard to keep track of stuff sometimes

I love the bold yellow and black look to the game. The levels were fun to play through and i was only slightly confused on the 4th level (the last jump up didnt work for a bit but eventually did) and suddenly having the level transition be down was a bit jarring (i thought i was just gonna die by jumping into the pit but saw no where else to go, so maybe an arrow to show its the intended path?). The only other thing was the level transitions happened without warning, so maybe having a goal or having the player walk off the side of the screen before transitioning would help. But overall was fun! ^-^ (i love the small mans design too, simple but cute)

Is very cute and has some fun dialogue that had me smiling ^-^

Thank you! And I'm happy you enjoyed it! I am quite happy with the result and is also one of the very few games I have been able to complete into a finished state from start to end. So I am really happy hearing that people enjoy it ^-^

Very fair as I tried my best to explain them but was a bit tough due to them changing as the fight goes on (like the parry button changing sides with the enemy). I knew it was something that might not click right away but I'm happy they made sense after the initial struggle with them

Yea that is very fair, the bashes were my friends biggest gripe with the game in playtesting so understandable they might've been annoying to deal with and will probably have some changes made to them in the future. Thank you for playing though! ^-^

Here is my submission ^-^ https://fayneluna.itch.io/a-swift-journe

Those critiques are very valid! I'm glad you enjoyed the game, but I do agree I could've made the attack indicators more uniform across all enemies. I was also worried I didn't add enough enemies as I didn't want it to end too soon, so hearing it may feel too long is very good to know. Thank you!

What program are you using? if its aseprite then they have an "export to spritesheet" option that makes things easy (and if you add tags to your animations by highlighting the animation and right clicking and selecting "add tag" you can choose to seperate them into layers with each layer being its own tag/animation)
