Overall is the art really cute. The combat felt satisfying and the hurt effect on the enemies too. I wish there was a cooldown on the weapon swing. Good Job overall :)

Cute game! I also love the level/ retro design choice for the levels! For feedback:
Fun: Yes! the levels could be a bit more special and some more enemies would make it even better but even now it does the job!
Core elements: I do wish I couldve save my shroom but allas. It did have the requirements to be a recreate tho so good job on that!
Polished: I do miss some parts to make it more "complete" I could just spam attack and a menu wouldve been nice, In your Untold game the menu is amazing so I know you can do it!
Audio: ofc the main audio is missing wich is sad but besides that combat audio is good and crispy
UI: I did miss this a bit wich is sad since ive seen your previous work wich was amazing.
Overall good job and I know a lot of the things I give as feedback are things you prob just didnt have time for. A gamejam wouldnt be a gamejam without time being an enemy
Good job!
This was really cute! The little mushroom guys are wonderful and switching between them was great, although I wish their playstyles had differed more but it was still nice to have different characters. There was a nice amount of polish and juice and it felt really good to play. Some way to rescue fallen characters would be nice too, but it's not super necessary. Overall a really cute and well executed game so great job!
Short but sweet! I have nothing to add that others haven't said already. Loved the juicy mushrooms.
Such a cute game. I loved all the polish and game feel when hitting enemies. The game could have been a bit longer and I do wish the different shrooms had their own different playstyles but overall it was a really fun game.
I saved 2 out of 3 mushrooms on my first attempt. Some background music would have gone a long way but the sound you got for the sword was good. Definitely see the elements of gain ground and all the characters looked good. I like that the enemies have different attacks and I think giving the rescued characters different attack abilities would add an extra layer of strategy
I saved the mushrooms :D
Loved the sound effects, really juicy. Combat is a bit clickspam-heavy, but feels great at the same time. Definitely a strong foundation that just needs some more content. Well done! :D
Simple but very effective. The controls felt very smooth, the animation and sound effects were nicely implemented. You included the core elements from the original and everything that was there felt nicely polished. Backing track would have been nice but other than that there's not MUSHroom for improvement. Solid entry, great job!
Cute simple little game!
Love the mycelium dudes. Tho admittedly I wasnt sure at first which ones were allies and which ones were enemies. I guess the enemies were always the ones with different color skin
This was a fun fungi game. Really enjoyed it. I think you got a lot of the core mechanics of Gain Ground, it as polished, and had good audio, and UI. Well done!
This game was good! love the simple but really good art!, wish you could fullscreen its an itchio checkbox! i do wish it was longer and also being able to save chars after they die, i beat the game with 2/3 mushrooms! its quite polished and really cool! good job!, mayyybe a lil more variety on the characther attacks and sprites would do it. otherwise sweet game!
Wow this felt very juicy.
You jump scared me a bit the first time I accidentally clicked the left mouse button and I swung a sword. ๐
I managed to complete the game without any of my characters getting killed. So, I went back and got a character killed on purpose, just to see what would happen. You cannot rescue your previous character when you die, it would be cool to implement that.
The game was a bit short though, I would have liked to see more. The character abilities were much a like and their sprites could use a bit more variance. Cute little experience I want more! ๐
