Really interesting puzzle mechanics and great artwork! I'm impressed with how many levels were included as well. My only problem with it is the storyline. It feels too reminiscent of unwanted romantic advancements many women experience in real life. I saw that another person mentioned it and that you only realized later which is fair. I think only minor tweaks could fix it like if they both liked each other in the beginning and the frog was just removing the obstacles keeping them apart or something like that. I think it would still fit the opposites attract theme since the characters have different personalities. Still really great work!

very cool concept, found myself frequently frustrated though... i think there is a lack of user feedback with blocks, but i also think there is a problem with me (bad).

Very interesting mix of puzzles! Shifting the pieces to get to the princess very fun!

The sound design was a bit distracting at a couple of moments and the frog sound was a bit jarring for me at times so stopped it (for me) from being super cozy >  . <

Very cute visuals, perfectly captured the theme. Very impressed about the amount of work for such a short jam!

This is great, unique mechanic (as far as I know, never seen it :D) perfectly fits the theme, smooth gameplay.

Incredible puzzle game that we really enjoyed playing 💖🌈
The levels were all kinda challenging and it was really nice/fun to discover the different endings.
You did a great job here ! 🐸👅✨

This game was definitely a highlight of this jam! It's super impressive how many mechanics and levels you were able to get out of this for such a short jam! The gameplay was also very innovative and used the theme in a hilarious way, especially with the visuals and sound design! Awesome job!

Developer

thank you :) ♡

The puzzle design was really well done and there were plenty of levels which is really impressive for the time available. I am also thankful you can skip some of the levels. The art and music were all cute and consistent and the toad and princess are a nice take on the opposites attract theme. Great work!

Developer

hahahah were there some levels that were difficult for you? thank you!! ♡

This game is so cute. I really loved to play it, and I also loved the visuals <3

Wow this feels perfect for this jam. The art is awesome, it's clean, cute, and a very girly palette. The game is very familiar, having once been a young girl myself--these types of puzzles were extremely addictive plastic! The opposites attract theme is clearly very present with the princess and the frog, too! Amazing!

thanks for playing!! :) and yeah it was inspired by the puzzle games I played when I was younger too LOL

Fantastic game, 10/10 for everything about it. Great work staying on theme and making something truely great and innovative in the process.

Developer

thank you!! :)

This was a lot of fun! The visuals are perfect, and the princess' audio lines fit well! It's probably just a me thing, but it did take me a moment to understand how exactly to move some of the blocks around.

Overall, very well put together!

Developer(+1)

thanks for playing!! and yeah there's a bit of a learning curve to figure out how the tongue works! :')

The game itself is very fun! Had a great time figuring out the puzzle mechanics, and loved that there were so many levels to play through. The graphics are sweet and simple, adding to the overall charm of the game!

thanks for playing!!

This is very fun! I enjoyed the puzzeling a lot, everything works very smoothly and intuitively!  The character design is very cute I love the aestetic of the whole game. The sound effects are very funny! Bleurgh heheh!

I gotta say though, a game about kissing someone (especially a girl while playing a pressumably male guy) when its obvious that she doesnt want it, feels a bit out of place in a girly game jam because that is unfortunately a real experience for a lot of us. Just felt a bit off. And im aware that this thrope is in a lot of movies and such and its all fun and games. Just a thought. Obviously this is a funny game and good one.

Just wanted to drop in to say you can blame me for the latter part of your comment. Believe it or not, it probably took us around 1/3 of the jam just to come up with a game idea (we really struggled finding something we all enjoyed and could execute) so once we had an idea that somewhat worked we rolled with it. It's only later on that I realized if may give off the wrong impression. If you actually press the Outro button a handful of times - you'll see our "bad ending" which we wanted to be our actual ending where we would emphasize that the frog was being a creep. It just felt abit too polarizing so I ended up caving to go with the fairy tail ending.

I totally get that. Cool that you put the bad ending in there and thanks for telling me about it!

Developer(+1)

thanks for playing !! and no joke ive been saying the frog is such a creep keep licking girls they see whenever - that's why the happy ending is sort of like the frog's imagination but in reality the princess left him alone and walk away. and I completely understand how uncomfortable it could be when this happens and sorry if the game reminds you any of the unpleasant experience.

The look is cute, the mechanics are very cool. I had a lot of fun and you gave me new impressions

This game is hilarious and really fun! The details are well thought-out -- locks to show when blocks aren't movable, the "BLUGH" frog sounds, and the "EWW" from the princess! If there was a "rom com" category for games, this would be it. Fantastic work!

thank youuu :)

Cute visuals, funny sfx, great level design - had me thinking for a while on level 7. it also looks ridiculously good! well done :D

Developer

thank you!! :D

Very clever and funny game mechanics ! I'm impressed by the quality of the level design, a really fun experience :)

thank you!! :)

Super fun puzzles and very polished UI and art! I really enjoyed this, but would've preferred a fixed camera instead of a moving one :)

Developer(+1)

thanks for playing!! and yeah I agree - will look into fixing the camera more in the next update (if there would be one) :)

Clever mechanic and super cute art! The sounds are absolutely hilarious. Level 2 was surprisingly difficult, it was cool to explore the mechanic and understand how it works. Thumbs up!

Developer

thank youu!!! how did you find it difficult?

Submitted

I think it just took a while for me to understand that you can drag through the red blocks, I kept thinking they were "forbidden". Somehow the lock icon didn't register for me as applying to only that one block :D just being a dummy, hehe

Developer

oh yeah - initially we were thinking should we add some instructions for the first two levels as tutorial then from the feedback of friends playing and also looking at the level we decided to skip the tutorial. It's because for that level, there's no other way to go about it so it could sort of 'force' the players to learn the mechanics! :P

Submitted(+1)

This is great!!! I really enjoyed it. The BLEGH sounds from the frog are hilarious and the puzzles are clever and challenging, i'm impressed with how many levels there are and how well explored the mechanic is! The art is also adorable (love the princesses :I face) and feels really polished!

Developer (1 edit)

thanks for playing!! hahaha the blegh sound and the :| face are definitely the vibe we are trying to bring out instead of the typical fairytale lovey dovey vibe :P yeah we figured out a way to build levels easily this time by implementing some tools so that's why we're able to put out more levels!! glad you enjoyed the game!!
