I liked the minimalistic style and the juice you had going on in this game! In terms of constructive criticism, the character felt pretty unresponsive. I feel like I had a bit of a hard grasp getting an idea of what the game was expecting from me and how to interact with its mechanics. I wasn't sure if I should be dashing in air or on the ground and dash jumping? I also found the blind jump in level 2 frustrating. I'm not sure if there's something I'm not getting about the mechanics but I was also finding myself wishing there were parts of the level didn't swap, like at the level 1, where I thought I had to hit the green box that was higher than the other to progress, and I ended up falling and losing my progress because I was confused. Overall though I thought this was a fun concept for a platformer.

Your execution on this concept was fantastic. I felt like everything really meshed well together, the art, gameplay, and story all pair very nicely for a memorable Jam game. I have to applaud the way you built suspense through gameplay, using scripted moments wisely and having the player travel deeper into the warehouse. Each time I was assigned a new task, I could feel myself asking more questions on what this facility is. And the ending left me intrigued enough to want to talk about it, but not spoil it here. Kudos!!
I like the juice on moving the cards around & the concept of always playing to a different win condition is fun! It was kinda hard to understand the rules though? I also kept finding myself forgetting which phase I was in. It'd be nice if there was text on screen or some indication of which phase you were in.
You nailed the vibe of a strange place! I think the visuals and music fit really well together. I couldn't play much because the effects made me sick easily, but I got up to the part where the lights started flickering. I wish there was a bit more of a hook/intrigue to the story, but I was really curious and would've played more if I could. I'm glad I got to check this out, thanks for submitting it!
This was a fun concept for this Jam! I love the idea of helping species find the planets that fit their needs. It was fun to parse their information and match them to the right planet. The main pain point I have is the inconsistencies of the planets not matching to their descriptions, but I'm sure that was a restriction due to the Jam's deadline. Thanks for sharing this game, I'm glad I got to play it!

We're a team of 10 devs and we're planning on playing a ton of other games later! Please post your games here, rate and/or let us know your thoughts on our submission! We'll be sure to check out your games in return!

Thanks for the kind words, I'm glad you liked our game.
Sorry to hear you experienced this issue! What's likely happening is there's one item that wasn't "Technically" placed in the spot. Usually the fix is to slightly adjust the items and see if that helps them snap into place.
Hope this helps if you want to go back and see the ending! Thanks again for giving Heavenly & Hell-ish a shot :D
Liked the concept of this! Was a little frustrated when I got 6/7 but couldn't find the last one? Really loved the darkness aspect of this, our team did something similar with fear of the dark and needing to avoid a monster without being able to see them super easy.
Thanks for submitting! Hope you enjoyed the jam :)
I really like the little moments you had in there to build tension! The dear running across the screen, the jumpscare with the snake, and even the missing sign at the beginning all made my imagination race. I wish the main mechanic was a little more engaging, though. By the third set of pages I felt like I wasn't seeing the game do anything new.
I also would've loved more interactivity in the final point of the game. If I could try running away, even if it was to no avail, I feel like I would've left a little bit more satisfied.
I still think this was a cool interactive experience. Hope you had a fun jam! :)
Loved the vibe and the concept behind this one! I was really intrigued with the story and really liked the atmosphere. I felt the urge to want to get better and see the rest of it. Could be a skill issue on my part but I was having a hard time getting past level 4- not sure if the game stops there or if I just didn't get a high enough ranking to not be disposed of lol. I definitely want to come back to this and see if I can master it and see the ending!
The level select is a perfect feature for this by the way, so glad you were able to include it.
Your team did an awesome job!

Great Concept, and love the Key Art you made! I had fun trying to go as far as I could. I was a little frustrated when the Item would change the moment before I was going to collect it, I almost wish there was a way to circumvent that, but I guess that's apart of the risk factor :) Hope y'all enjoyed the jam I hope to see more of your projects in the future!
