super cute artstyle and short'n'sweet, LOVE the title too! very on theme.
my only critique would be that the puzzles feel immersion-breaking. :(

What inspired your game?
The desire to write a story about two people who are opposite from each other but must look past their differences to succeed
How did you incorporate the 'girly' theme into your game?
The cute and simple art style, upbeat music choice, and even the casual style of the game were chosen to appeal to girl gamers. For the jam specific theme of "opposites attract" I tried to write the two main characters as opposites of one another who bond together through their passion for baking. I also incorporated simple puzzle games. I wanted to make them more complex and build on the theme of opposites attract there as well but run out of time. Thanks for reading!

quite an interesting game - ngl initially I did not see the items on top and wonder why can't I drag the items lol visuals and sound are on point - nice work!!
The rivalry in the bakery runs HOT (pun intended). Fun !
Loved the dialogue and the storyline was a bit cheesy but very enjoyable. I also really liked the addition of minigames to progress the story but there could be a bit more variety in them for the future. The tone also very much nailed with the aesthetics and vibe. Would look forward to the added complexity in their relationship you described!
I can't help but feel weary about the bread entusiast considering my track record with sandwiches in my game .-.
(I loved the dialogue, though)
Cute game! Your characters drawings are adorable and I love their emotes! I also enjoy the puzzles. They're not difficult, but just hard enough to activate my brain.
The graphics are all very cute and charming, exactly what you'd want to see in a visual novel that takes place in a bakery! The matching game is simple, but very fun! And the storyline is so so sweet! The player and Rye deserve their happy ending and fun rivalry and partnership!
Top notch style and a very cute puzzle to make the game interactive! After the mayor comes in to tell us about the competition, I couldn't drag pastries to finish the puzzle though. Not sure what happened, but I just refreshed and restarted the game (in case anyone else runs into this).
There are a few small typos (e.g., "mocing") and I think the purple box for the matching pastry could be brighter or larger! But just to be frank, I completely understand -- I also have very hard-to-see UI in my own game heh. It took me a minute to figure out what to do initially, but once I saw the box, I got it.
Also, ngl, some of the flipped patterns after the baking competition starts had me staring for a bit -- and oh my goodness. The cake in the final scene. LOL Fantastic game!
First visual novel I played before and honestly it was really interesting. I was surprised I enjoyed it this much. The story was engaging. I never played a visual novel before so maybe I'm a bit bias cause this was new to me but I was really impressed. The art was definitely my favorite part. Such cool drawings. :P Great work.
