Wooooo!! Thanks so much for playing until the very end. :p I really appreciate it!

Ooooops ahaha, I will need to make that soundtrack loop heh.

Thanks so much! :D

Thank you! :D

No bugs! Here are some nits you could consider for improvements. At a very basic level, I usually start by working on the core game mechanic -- in your case, that's (a) flying and (b) shooting down birds.

  • You could make flying more dynamic. For example, the drone could wobble left and right based on how quickly or slowly you drag the drone to the left and right. There could also be a slight lag as the drone catches up to your cursor. For what it's worth, the buzzing of a drone is really annoying, so granted, you might not add a realistic sound effect here haha.
  • You could also making shooting more satisfying. Have the bird thrown backwards when it's hit, maybe shoot some sparkles into the air, or have the bird vaporize. You could also add a little +1, along with some sound effects to achieve this. The drone itself could animate when it's shooting as well. For example, the drone could scale up and down as if it's "spitting out" the laser.

Once the core game mechanic is more fun, then I think the next most important goal is setting up a clear challenge. You've already got a clear goal (survive until time runs out) -- so it's just a matter of adding more challenge. For example, you might force the player to use the laser with a wall of birds that can't possibly be passed. Or, you might penalize the player (time increases) for every bird that passes you.

Thank you! And good idea -- I'll definitely have to add some more goals, either endless mode or just for more gameplay generally :p

Thank you! Haha, I will definitely have to add more levels after the jam -- it's on my todo list now :p

Thanks so much for the detailed review and feedback -- I really appreciate you taking the time, and this made my day. :p Added the 2x speed option to my list of todos!

Woooooo!! Thanks very much for playing until the very end. :)

Thank you! I will definitely have to do that

Thank you!

Haha thanks so much! I see you're also a repeat jam-er :p And that's good feedback, I'll have to implement a speedup button

Thank you! And that's a really good idea. Added a 2x button to my todo list

Woot, thanks so much! That means a lot coming from you haha

Thanks for the feedback! Added to my todo list :D

Oops, I didn't realize the mouse could run into the wall, haha! I got a big "ouch" oops. Nice work with the art and gameplay -- I played up through the second level, will need to come back and play more levels. :p

I'm a big fan, and I'm so happy you added the pasta to the game. The process of discovery is very satisfying, and pixel art, music, and sound effects are all a perfect fit. I really don't have much to say -- very impressed, but not surprised. Really fun and rewarding game!

This 3D platformer is quite fun! The glow on the cake is unmistakable and helped me navigate quite quickly -- nice work on making the gameplay extra clear. The cake looks delicious too!

LOL I was! It was very clear, and I look forward to coming back for more quests :p

The concept is pretty awesome -- searching blindly in the dark and hoping you don't run into a red thing! The movement mechanics are really, and the sound effects / pixel art are a perfect match for each other in this game. Really creative game!

This is super fun, I love puzzle games and this is no exception! The pixel art is spot on, the cute "bloop" is very apt, and the ticker in the top left helped me to figure out why I kept dying haha. The game is clear, the gameplay is fun, and the animations are cute. This is a winner. 🔥

Thank you so much for the kind words! I really appreciate it. :p

That's certainly a good point -- added an end scene to my list of todos!

Really nice work on the art! This monster is so goofy, and I think I've fed him quite a lot haha. I'm really impressed you managed to fit in so many mechanisms into the jam, in such a short amount of time. This was a creative use of the theme, and it was pretty fun!

Haha what a punny use of the prerequisite! The first player chef and the gray chef are both really cute. And the audio is spot on for the game. Is that a tomato we're kicking around? Haha. Really short, simple game and I'm a big fan!

The visual style is nuts -- the bulge of the in-game screen, the pixel art, the font, the transition animation between menu and game... so incredibly put together. Nice work! The watermelon smash is also very satisfying both in terms of audio and visual effects.

Would love more watermelon smashing -- hope you make this into a full game! Could totally see myself playing this on my phone for a high score wherever I go. Really fun.

What a cute premise, this definitely reminds me of agar.io style games, and that's a good thing! I do love to monch on smaller fish, and I can't wait to turn my fish into shark -- just you wait, it won't be long now haha. Great game, and really cute pixel art! The name is punny and a great fit for the game and the jam.

Such a well polished and executed game! I love the idea that you get bigger as you get hit, making it easier to get hit and get even bigger. The shooting and shaking really makes the game feel exciting, in addition to other small details like how the score increments, how the bullets hit the food, how the food splits etc. -- it's a really nice touch. Fantastic game! Had a blast playing it.

The "chalky" hand drawn art is so cozy.

  • Unfortunately, my plants turned "crispy," as Liz said haha!
  • The instructions on the itch page are really helpful.
  • The art style, helpful neighbor, and the cozy music / sound effects really tie in together well.

Amazing work, and will be back to plant more!

Wow that was really satisfying to play! The food was fun to drag onto my plate, there was tons of micro visual feedback for eating food generally -- and occasionally for using the correct utensil. The leaderboard integration and the cohesiveness of the buffet "storyline" is spot on.

This is really fun! I'm going to be back to set a high score... soon...

Absolute fire game as usual! It always makes me crai when I put down a cup and don't realize they wanted a cone :( I also think I dun goofed orange vs. mango ahaha.

Fun game and gorgeous pixel art as usual. Now that I've seen a number of your games, I'm starting to get what the SeeOne "brand" feels like, and it's pretty awesome. Fun game!

Really cute hand-drawn art and nice work building all of the scenes and cooking mechanisms! That's crazy that you managed to build so much -- a farm, shop, "surprise boxes", pizza oven kitchen etc. 30 unique recipes is also a crazy amount. Amazing work!

"to make more Johns" 😂 The premise is really silly, and I love the "FASA" logo -- very clever and well done pixel art! Making a bunch of pet Daves is very satisfying. Any chance that Daves can lay more Stuarts that turn into Daves?

This has a ton of potential -- the burgers look so delicious! The meat mechanics are very forgiving, and I'm really happy I don't have to pluck them off the grill at the perfect moment. The boxes in the back sliding away are a great way to visually show burgers shipped off to customers. The menu is pretty comprehensive -- so many possible burgers! One nice-to-have would be to pause the timer while the menu is open. Granted, it also adds time pressure, so maybe that's the point...

In any case, neat game! :p

Thanks so much for playing -- and I've added color to my todos! :p

Haha, love the title and the character's expressions!

  • Man, these characters are savage though -- I'm pretty sure I'm cooked now. The dialogue is :chefskiss: haha!
  • The multiple-views is really interesting, and it makes the game feel like a complete "world," without needing me to go explore different virtual spaces "manually".
  • I managed to produce a burger simply enough, and I didn't realize the non-meat can't be grilled oops ahaha.

Everything in the game is labeled, clearly described, and visually obvious what it does -- nice art, great dialogue, and fun gameplay -- very nice work!

Making a massive 3D scene for a jam in no joke -- this clearly took a lot of effort, nice work! The "X" to denote progress in the top left was a great addition, and overall, this is game is awesome. The cabbages take off like pigeons, the fruits are running around hog wild, and now I've got corn blood and guts all over me!

I had to play it until the very end -- attached my final score! :p

LOL I was wondering what all the little letters in the hunger bar was... and then I died. And I understood, haha! The "eating makes you hungry faster" is such a hilarious twist. Very troll, and I'm all for it. I did try eating the wall and all the organic food even. 10/10 would send this to my friends. Will be doing this right after I finish writing this review haha!
