Excellent job! I love that work is continuing for this game.

Thanks so much for playing!!!

Hey - thanks a lot for playing!

I really had SO much planned  that I never was able to implement. I'd say I was able to include about 20% of the story that I originally came up with, haha.

Thanks again!!!

I love the speech bubbles idea, and I think it would solve the issue entirely!

Hey - TY for the kind words and review!!! Your words literally express exactly the feel I wanted the player to have when I was creating it, lol.

I was really bummed that I wasn't able to fit more than I wanted into the game, but I'm happy I was able to create a least a small, compact story. A shirt's got potential - it could say "Jewel Pit" with some brass knuckles hanging from the letter "J" haha.

Thanks again for playing!! I hope you'll continue to check out my future games!

Awesome to hear. I'll be sure to follow its progress.

How'd you go about making the model? In Blender? I'm really hoping to tackle some Blender tutorials in the future for this exact kind of art style.
I definitely get the "opposite" feel you're going for as well!

Appreciate the feedback! It was definitely a challenge, and I do wish I had polished some areas while not spending as much energy in others; haha, yeah the combat was actually going to be turn-based (it's just a cut scene with no player input), but once I realized how long that would be (for my first time), I knew it would not be possible, lol.

Thanks for playing!

Haha, yeah the open world choice was one of those "okay, I'm 3 days in, and there's no turning back now, no matter how hard this gets" kind of things, lol.

Yes, I wish I could have focused a little more on creating a more fleshed out story with a least a little bit more powerful of a cliffhanger.

Thanks again for playing and for the feedback!!

Hey - thanks so much for checking the game out and leaving some feedback!!

I appreciate your thoughts about the post-processing as I just felt like I couldn't get "that" look I was going for.

Ty again!!

Thanks for sharing. Didn't realize it was that easy to setup!

Totally understandable! You guys can really take this idea so far if you wanted to!

Amazing job on the graphics and sound. Player movement was also very tight and felt great.

I can see how this game could be expanded into so many directions as well. I think a short tutorial, or maybe even a pop up to direct players at the very start would be super helpful.

Super cool idea! I love your yin and yang design, and the game itself has a lot of potential!

How did you go about programming in the click & drag feature of placing the items around the game? I really want to incorporate that into a game at some point myself.

Like a previous comment, I also noticed the same bugs, but these are things I am sure you are well aware of how to fix by now!

Nice twist to the expected gameplay. I really liked the smoothness of the cards' animations; as a whole the game is super relaxing! I think the music should continue playing through each round, if possible!

Great job!

Fantastic job on the music and eerie tone you created for the atmosphere. Fits right with the theme as well. I really liked the faded background visuals of each location too.

Nice job & well executed!

I did not expect this to be as deep as it was! I liked that stats that you included for each item, and seeing the results of each customer was really cool as well.

I think you should include a little more assistance for the player for at least the first customer or two as I did feel a little unsure of the "right" items to buy despite completing the tutorial; I also see you included more directions on the game's page, which is great!

Nice job!!

Huge fan of the music , especially play plays during the Closure Ending. I can tell you put a lot of time into the dialogue as well, and you crafted a really immersive short story.

Very cute game! I liked that you included multiple areas to let the cats roam. Nice portraits too lol!

There is a lot of potential for expansion as well.

Very relaxing game. I think you nailed it with the music and background for the game. Was the background separate layers of images, or just a single image? I just really think it fit so well with the tone of the game. Also, I loved the workout ghost lol.

This is a really great idea! I can see there were a lot of features that didn't make it into the game, but I still feel like there is so much that this game could explore with roguelike features.

Very creative; nice job!

Wow - this was such a creative way to craft a story. I wasn't sure what to expect at first, but I was very impressed with the changing visuals/gameplay. Great job!

Very fun and unique! Loved the idea, and it could definitely be expanded into such a complex game.

Thanks!!! I really did spent quite a bit of time on it. I was only able to complete maybe ~30% of what my original idea for the game was, but I was still super pleased with everything I learned during the process. It's a great feeling to hear your thoughts on the writing!!

Very interesting game mechanic! The characters felt to control as well. I wasn't sure how to get past the second room. I feel like something what triggering, but maybe a visual effect would be helpful to see it occur.

Nice job!

Wow, thank you again for sharing all of this information. Super grateful!

I'm sorry you were not able to upload the fixed version due to the deadline. This game really seems to have potential, and I was interested in where it was going to go next!

I'm so sorry you didn't get this completed! I love the idea and feel of the game already.

How'd you achieve the stirring visual effect when mixing the potions in the cauldron?

I loved the uniqueness here. It's a game I won't forget the style of. I do think that there should be a little more guidance when first starting the game.

Really cool. Well done!

I didn't expect to play this as long as I did! I spent most of my time on the initial drawing, but I liked all of the features you added to draw with as well.

Maybe this sounds weird, but this made me feel like I was sitting at an iHop or Dennys as a kid and coloring before our food came out, lol.

Nice :D

Very cool! I liked some of the mechanics you added that I had not experienced before in a game of this genre, such as saving the cuties by hovering over them.

It felt very smooth to play as well!

Fun and straight to the point! I would suggest being able to hold down the "fire" button too!

I'm a big fan of grim reaper designs and reaper-like characters - did you create the Grim Reaper yourself? Great job!

I loved the 3D background choice, and the switch from night/day felt smooth and rewarding when I figured out how to get into certain areas.

Really liked the dialogue as well!

Challenging and very artful. I really wanted to see juxtaposition of the protagonist/f(r)iend as I feel like there was a story here begging to be told!

Did you create the f(r)iend yourself? I love its design.

Dude - thank you so much for the elaborate explanation. I honestly never thought about the fact that a lot of songs would really just be tapping the same (1-2-3-4) beat over and over.

One last Q - what was your workflow (if you don't mind sharing!) for implementing the Lady Gaga song? It's really cool that you were able to bring that into your game, and I'd love to know how you went about doing it!

Thanks again!

Interesting shadow mechanics - very original.

While I was playing, I did get stuck in a spot two times (image attached).

Fun and unique!

Okay - I definitely failed as a matchmaker, but I still had fun!

Great job on the character designs and their personalities.

How difficult was it to implement the real-time clock in the toolbar? I thought that was neat!

Unfortunately, I also had an issue with trying to complete the game as I felt like I somehow "bricked" my playthrough.

Other than that, this was super cool and very down to Earth. I am a sucker for when devs take a very real but underrepresented idea and turn it into a game. In this case: the hot girl IBS, lol.

Very unique and great dialogue!!
