I loved that you spent the time to add a tutorial level, very nice. I also liked the artwork and was amused at having kicking press buttons, nicely done. I must admit, I'm no longer the FPS player I once was, and these bugs did kick my ass.
I too experienced a noticeable load pause the first time I used both the shotgun and the grenade (playing on web using Firefox), and I suspect the VFX or sound FX is being demand loaded. If you can work them into your load screen (either hidden or otherwise integrated) it shouldn't be seen mid-action. The only other thing I could wish for is some slight color variation or pattern variation in the walls to help give the user more depth perception when moving about when there are corners (the eye will more easily sort the smaller patterns as further away).

I really liked the wall jump and the kick. Much cooler than pressing button by hand
The first use of shooting and grenade slows down the game a little and the third level is very difficult to play on the web. I believe a loading screen could solve, or at least reduce, this problem.
Apart from that, it's a really fun game to play. I laugth a lot with the kick and the gameplay feels quite dynamic. Congrats!

Pretty Fun stuff, although when I was playing the web version in the first 2 levels I found it easier to just run past all the enemies and then in the 3rd level there are too many enemies and it lags the web version. It is a pretty cool speed game though. I love the movement with sprint crouching feeling incredible. Fun stuff
Speed running definitely involves a lot of enemy skipping in this version. We were going to add rooms/doors that require kills to open. It sucks that the enemies aren't optimized enough for the quantity we desired on level 3. To be honest, I wanted to put wayyyy more enemies into level 3 but I was held back by the threat of lag!
Very fun, I enjoy how the enemies get tougher over time and evolve, it's a bit more interesting than just spawning stronger enemies with each passing wave as now I got to prioritize not just on who's currently dangerous, but who will be dangerous soon.
Also, that kick also being used for buttons is a touch of genius.
Yay!!! We are glad you found enemy prioritization to be engaging! We definitely wanted to do more with that. It would have been cool to do even more with the enemies and their evolutions. I wanted to make the spiders able to sling a web across gaps and crawl across... so many cool ideas but not enough time!
Such a fun FPS game with a vibrant cartoonish style and dynamic gameplay! The visuals and fast-paced action really stand out and make the experience super enjoyable. However, I noticed that when particles appear for the first time, there’s a noticeable frame drop. It’s something to look into, but overall, it’s a fantastic game! I’d recommend using ResourcePreload to load the resources before they’re used in the particles—I hope that helps!
the first person controls are pretty nice. The music and the sfx, together with the style make this a cool retro experience. I do think that the weapon mechanics could be improved / polished. The kick mechanic is really fun though!
Loved the purple vibe of the dungeon! The music and fast paced action got my palms a bit sweaty, so definitely a good boomer-shooter style game! A bit more polish and you've got the makings of something really great! Nice game jam submission!
Brings me right back to Doom! Thought the kick mechanic was funny, but also quite effective! I struggled a bit with the platforming. Nice boomer-shooter jam game.
I thought for myself :hmm this is going to be easy but then I saw the friendly spider message! spider bugs still remind me of Spirited Away! couldn't finish level one that is how much i suck at dexterity shooter game! but i did give it a try! :))

THIS GAME IS FANTASTIC. I'm an FPS fan, and this was so much fun. There's so much movement tech here! I'm super impressed you made this in a week. Very, very cool. The game did crash on me twice when using ctrl to slide, so I used C and that worked just fine. Love this! Keep up the great work.
