I'm so happy folks liked the art! I *literally* am just doodling in Adobe Fresco on my iPad, I'm no artist...but hearing the feedback gives me confidence that I could do a full game on my own.
Yeah the Wooden/Bent/Gold-Plated/Shiny/etc was really just to give the utensils extra data for the puzzles....my brain never realized folks would try to visually connect those to the actual utensils :D Game Jams, amirite? :D
This is WAY cool for your first project, wow! There's an old saying..."Don't Boil The Ocean", or even better "How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time" :D Meaning, you've got a great basic setup here...take *one* aspect of the game that you think needs to improve, and figure out how to do it. Is the camera too fast (or should that be adjustable for the user?), are the controls funky, are the jumps too "stiff"? Pick one and work on that as a mini project!
Be proud of yourself though, and keep on coding!
Thanks for checking out my game! I really wanted to add the ability to swap utensils between your hand and the table, but the way I coded the game I just couldn't figure it out in time. As a matter of fact, I've started a new Godot test project this week just to see if I can figure out how to do it!
Ya the "timer off" was a last minute feature addition after reading comments on another game about their timer being too fast. I figured it's considered a "casual mode". The *real* challenge is timed mode...every solution check you do shaves 5 seconds off the timer!
Thanks so much for playing my game, really means a lot!
