It was fun trying to find walls and things to clip through. Good job!

The idea of clipping through objects was really nice. Also the models in the game looked very clean. My personal problem with the game was that the first rooms were really tiny (the ceiling was really low) and that gave me a little agoraphobia. Maybe you could build bigger rooms, or even make the walls go away completely (replace them with trees, or a river) just like you did in later rooms. Other than that, very nice.
Really glad to see another Unreal Engine game. That was a really fun and kinda challenging experience. Don't tell anyone that I looked at the cheat sheet😁. The level design was super cool and creative too.
Also if you want to reduce the file size, you can delete unused assets before packaging. Or if you think you still need those assets for maybe later use, you can move them all to a folder and exclude that folder from getting packaged. It can be done in Project Settings under the packaging section.
Overall it was a really cool game, great job 😄
Haha that was something :D Very nice!
A tad more direction for the player would make this even better.
Well done! Stay funky,
Dez
Well done for completing your first game! I remember being in your exact shoes not too long ago. I was kind of confused as to where and what I was supposed to do at the start so perhaps some explanation of my goal at the start would have been nice. Nice job
Wow this is a really great submission for a game jam.
It give of some good stanley vibes.
For some feedback:
- the mechanic isn't that clear at the start. Which is a real shame as the game has much more to offer.
- for the platforming I'd suggest putting in a simple challenge to get started. The first one currently is maybe a bit much for the start.
You put the unreal engine to good use and had some great assets in the game.
Oh man what a wonderful comment! Thank you for the detailed suggestions, I wouldnt have thought to add a bite sized teaser for the platformer section and it does seem I should add a for of explanation to the game. I've already got an excellent addition to make it clear but not too clear what to do.
Thank you!
Well it sure was a very intersting game !
It took me a bit of time to understand properly what to do, but when I did I was all great ! Graphics are cool, I didn't notice sound though but that's not problem, and it was fun wandering here and exploring, trying to find the gaps...well done really !
Wow, an unreal submission. Nice job, it has a proper Stanley's Parable vibe.
I ended up dizzy playing...
It's a really interesting concept with a lot of ptential :3
I replayed your game, and this time I got the pudding!
Really interesting scenes, I even found myself wanting to keep exploring them...
How big is yours? 400 Mb. My mom was impressed.
All immature jokes aside; I was able to clip out of the hallway, but then didn't know where to go or what to do. The visuals are great, perhaps you can add some sound as well.
Lmao, to tell the truth I had no idea if the file size was big or small. But you are right I need to learn how to add sound, when I thought about adding sound there was only 4 hours left until submission and being a single parent plus trying to squeeze out a game in 72 hours had taken its toll so decided to just submit as is. Thank you for playing though!
After I figured out the start, thanks to your hints available on the game page admittedly, it got interesting. Not often I see unreal in game jams but I always enjoy the visual aspects. Platforming bit was more difficult but I loved seeing all the different environments you created. And the reward was "sweet" lol.
If you type ` you can type commands. I also discovered if you press tab + ' you can enter a spectator camera. Good job on your first game, its really interesting!
I can tell there is a LOT in this game, but I wast able to experience any of it because of the controls. Although, I will go around in the spectator camera and just have fun with it.
Although, I want to play the game for real, what are the controls?
The file size was a bit large too. Also, if you join the discord, you can get a lot more people to try you game.
Thanks
Cool game! At first I didn't really know where to go, but then I accidentally figured it out lol.
You should have the controls visible somewhere because I didn't know if I could interact with objects or anything. Also I think this build of the game is a developer build or something because there's error messages in the top left.
I got through the first clip, then I found an egg or something in like a bathroom in the second room, but after that I had no idea what to do. I just ran along the walls trying to clip through but nothing worked. Is there more to it?
Also maybe have a pause screen and title screen.
But it's refreshing to see a first-person game in a game jam like this! Cool!
