This is a fun shooter, my best score was 269 kills. The upgrades are quite well balanced, it felt very strategic choosing which was the most useful thing to upgrade. I think the difficulty ramps up a little bit too quickly, as it goes from quite easy to insane within a couple of rounds. It gets particularly difficult when you run out of space to run away and you can't pick up any fuel because they are swarming all over it. But it's still fun trying to get a high score. I liked the lighting effects and the use of the focus. Nice work!

Thanks for playing, and for the feedback!
I would like to go back at some point and rebalance a little bit. It seems to be getting hard a little too quickly, it might be nice to have a slightly slower increase, but then it plateaus a bit... People who do REALLY WELL get ahead of the enemy's increasing stats and can just "go forever". ๐ค
Thanks again for the feedback, it'll all help with balancing if I find time to come back to this one. ๐
Nice shooter, with great lightings. The fact the fire repulse enemy is a detail, but add a lot. I must say what I don't like in most of top-down shooter I see in jam, is that you end up turning in circle. So some level variation would be great. I did not understand immediately that sort of shield on top of the fuel was in fact the right mouse button !
Other than that, controls are good, SFX are ok. Game is fun to play.
Great game.
Game core mechanics are executed fantastically and everything works well. The main element missing is the incentive for the player to move anywhere since there is no in game benefit for the player of doing that.
Otherwise to spice up the overall gameplay designing a goal like player collects parts to fix his ship to escape the aliens would give the incentive for the player to move around the map to explore and collect items to achieve the given goal.
Overall, the gameplay is solid and fixed with an understandable amount of complexity in your implemented game mechanics.
Cool lighting effects ! Fun game!
But after couple of ways I found strategy when you sit in corner - spiders cant reach you. Why get out? Bottles spawns near, after few level ups enemies can't stand a chance!
Really cool art and i really love the style of the game! It's also very playable. For later updates maybe adding new enemies could be a good idea.
I would be really happy if you tried and rated my entry too :)
Cool little game!
I love the light effects and general art style and progression. Choosing to use the bio fuel for either getting more upgrades or to heal yourself is a nice idea that makes levelling up more interesting.
My only complain would be the fire, this feels out of place. It would be pretty cool with some particle flames or at least a little flame animation when you burn your way through the enemies.
Well done!
Your art and lighting here is fantastic. You've come a long way from your Vimjam 1 humble beginnings lol
I really love the presentation here! Everything really looks as good as it can be. The fire sprite is a bit silly but I think it just adds to the charm of the game. It feels great to mow down tons of spiders. And as much as I love the game, I don't think I'll be trying for the high score anytime soon haha
Thanks a lot! I still love that old heist game from Vimjam1, but I know how to do so much more now. ๐
And yeah, don't worry about getting a high score, I thought I added an artificial hard cap on the game by having enemies scale with more health as waves progress, but some people are bashing through that cap and getting crazy high scores. ๐
This is very very nice! The game juice feels great and it is kind of addicting. Congratulations!
Very fun game! There's nothing really wrong with it although the one thing I do have to say is a little more variety, in both the enemy and even maybe some more weapons the player can use could go a long way. The game itself is really good, just could use a little more to keep it from getting stale. Overall though, great game and I had fun playing it, also if you could play and rate my game as well that would be great!
I absolutelly loved it!
Was playing this while watching Vimlark until my hands started to cramp up (10k kills)
I really liked the game and giving you made it in 3 days make it more impressive. It's really fun and addicting and the score system is really good. If I wasn't playing on a notebook I would play your game more and try to reach 1st place on the leaderboard.
Very Cool Game, I Like Playing It And Getting 2nd Place, The Theme Is Really Cool And I Like The Strategy You Brough Into This Shoot Em' Up Game ;P
Very fun and addictive. Sound design is immersive. The controls are razor-sharp, and there are some cool visual touches, like how the dim room becomes slightly brighter when the flamethrower is on. The scalable enemy sprite made me chuckle--there is no theoretical limit on how big those bad boys can be. The tiny ones feel like nuisances, the huge ones feel like hulking brutes.
The only suggestion I would have is more variety: additional enemy types, additional items, exploration, etc.
Really amazing Job!
The atmosphere of the game is really nice and I really like how did you use the Multi-Use theme.
Finally: Please add xenomorphs as enemies!!!
