Finally got a chance to play it! A really fun idea, the boss liked all the wrong things haha. The Earth is not flat, come on..

  • I am curious if there could be more endings with this. I got promotion one and fired one, I guess there is also a neutral one where nothing happens? I wonder if there could be an option which would grant you 999 points and they will promote you to become the boss in their stead, encouraging players to pick different conversation options.

Well done!

Developer

Thanks for playing! Yes, there are 5 different endings. The neutral is the "not promoted" one which can be get in the third and second level of the patience-meter, but these two have different interactions. The first and zero level of the patience-meter are the promoted ending that each one are different but finally you get promoted. The fired one can only be get at the maximum level. The score is only for give replayability, the maximum is 700 because there are only 7 turns. Thanks for playing! If you have any other question, please tell me!

Great, thanks for explaining! Did you use anything for the branching narrative or did you code this yourself? Really impressive :)

Developer

I coded it myself :D

It was really nice and fun!

But I could not press the play or exit button for a while before, it ruined the game for me a bit

Developer

As i said in the game's page, the "How to play" button is bugged, and if you click on it, the play and exit button will not work, bad mine! So don't click on it! However, in the game page's i show it so you can see what it says without getting bugged, Thanks for playing!

XD That was really fun, I wanted to click on everything to know what the boss would say, but i also wanted a promotion ! Really nice, well done ! Loved the different ending too !

Very fun concept. It's a bit hard to choose the wrong topic because they repeat themselves to often, though. A timer that gives you a limited amount of time to choose each round could add a good bit of tension. Also, it would be fun if the boss had items in his office that alluded to the things he liked.

I encountered a bug on the main menu. I opened the how to play page and somehow also opened the credits page on top of it. I was eventually able to close both of them, but I could neither start the game or exit out after.

Developer

Thanks for playing! I was planning to do exactly what you're saying, the timer and the things in the office, i was planning to put a dog figure and a minecraft cube, but i didn't have much time. However, i putted some things that are simple to draw like the coffee, the box of burger (junk food) And the prizes in the background. I explained the How to play button bug in the game's page, but never happened to me that credits bug. (I pressed it at least 15 times). Thanks for commenting!

Unfortunately I can't play it on my desktop, with my ultrawide monitor. I can click Credits & How to play, but not the play / exit buttons. Will have a go on my laptop after work!

Its ok! As i said in the game's page, the "How to play" button is bugged, and if you click on it, the play and exit button will not work, bad mine! So don't click on it! However, in the game page's i show it so you can see what it says without getting bugged! Hope you can play it in your laptop!
