I never figured out how to get new words on the article. I could cut, but I tried clicking the glue and the other things, and it was just rolling around. I looked at the page for help, but I didn't see a list of controls. I just kept submitting 0-point articles with a bunch of words cut out all over my screen ^^;

Really like the concept, and I know other people figured it out, but I just couldn't figure out how. But glad I checked out all the hard work from the mods!

LOVED THIS. Felt like a great madlibs that progressively got crazier and crazier. Wish the side articles popped up earlier to cause more mayhem before the timer ran out. Felt like I had better options but super limited time when they arrived. OVERALL SO CUTE AND I WANT A FULL RELEASE

This must've been one of the hardest game for me, my pea brain wasn't clicking on how to build proper sentences lol.

What I felt is that it can get chaotic very quickly with all the pieces.

Excellent concept, had fun

Great concept for a game. I saw a progress pic during development and was excited for this one, because the mechanic reminded me of the golden idol type games but used in a completely different way.

I wasn't sure if it just goes on infinitely or if there was some kind of further progression, if there was I never reached it but I had a blast making silly headlines.

The art, sound, and general aesthetics were cohesive and worked really well for the premise, I enjoyed the extra little things to click on and cut words from.

I wish on the score screen it was possible to see the headline as if it was printed on the newspaper in the same style it is initially given to you - like your goofy headline but without the cut and paste bits, as if they've reprinted it. That would make it more fun when you want to share your creations.

My favourite:

I'm sure everyone told you about the scoring system; I think the sentences could've been more like obvious puzzles. Other than that, everything was so coooool, I really liked the art and game feel. It was awesome.

What an incredible game!! I thought it was a super creative take on the theme and I had a lot of fun chaotically cutting and pasting everything lol. Being able to interact with so many things was a nice touch too. It was very satisfying. Great job!!

MY SCREEN

I enjoyed the graphics and music! Can't say the same for the gameplay though. Would be nice to have a trash can for the excess words on screen.

Developer

Haha yeah they get to be a lot after a while, can always pile them in a corner if you don't need them XD

This reminds of papers please. I like how you can interact with the stuff in the background even if they don’t do anything useful. At some point, I ignored the requests and just started to make funny sentences.

I am not creative enough for this game but It's pretty cool to have all the words all over you screen,

The game is a piece of art, the polish and attention to detail is amazing. Greatjob :)

PARKER! SUE THE MODS FOR INFRINGEMENT!

But seriously, it’s amusing we had pretty much the exact same game idea down to the media references, and it’s so interesting to me how differently we approached it! Just really cool to see.

Feedback wise, the screen got a little cluttered for me, which was a bit overwhelming, but otherwise it was fun to grab words from various sources and slice them together into an unholy amalgamation. Plus the music was pretty chill. I do wish I wasn’t timed for each round cause I wanted to make the perfect headline v.v

Well done though guys!

Pretty fun game, though it felt like there wasn't much feedback to what I was doing. I mean you get a score but the dev even says its arbitrary so I feel like I'm kinda just trying to make myself laugh. Also there needs to be like a trash can or something because I had so many clippings over my whole screen lol. Good job guys!

I can not figure out how to actually win :c

Submitted

By having fun pretty sure. Super serious scoring system mhm.

Developer

You can try to get a high score if you want, but the scoring system is meant to be mysterious/silly and the main goal is to make funny headlines and share them with your friends :)

Submitted

This was fun! I ran out of space for all my newspaper clippings really fast, but still a really fun experience. The art and the music were so whimsy, I couldn't help but keep playing

A wonderful execution on this flavor of interpretation for the theme! Best one I've seen so far. As other's've mentioned, a trash can of sorts certainly wouldn't go unappreciated, but barring that, just making one corner of the screen the cerified paper dumbster™ works well enough, and it's hardly that big of a mark on an overall amazing experience.
Bravo and well done to all of you.

I think this is my favourite take on the theme so far! It kinda reminds me of a less serious version of The Republia Times :)

Submitted

I thought it was cool at first, but then I made BUFL pregnant and I realized this game is where it's at.

Submitted

I couldn't make a funny pregnant headline joke T^T, but over all it was pretty good, I kind of just end up cutting everything off the newspaper HAHAHAHAHA.
