Pretty good puzzle game

What a game. I'm really impressed! It’s clear that the game was heavily inspired by Baba Is You, but you’ve created some really interesting puzzles using spin mechanic. Very cool! One of the best puzzles at the jam. I’d love to see some other interesting mechanics besides the crosses you have to place objects on, but the puzzles were still really fun. The pixel art and atmosphere are spot-on, and the background music fits perfectly too. The only thing I’d add is a “undo" button, like in Baba Is You. Other than that, it’s excellent!
It’s a good platformer with plenty of levels. Unfortunately, I couldn’t make it all the way to the end, because once the pink moving platforms with spikes were added, the game got way harder. You had to time your jumps very precisely to land in the gaps between them. I think the difficulty curve could have been a bit more gradual (even though the mechanic of moving platforms is pretty neat).. But maybe I’m just clumsy, so I’ll still give credit for the work that went into it. Good job!
In terms of platforming this game is one of the best on this jam! The jump and spin mechanics are really smooth. It’s a shame there aren’t more levels in the game, I wanted to play more! It’s done really well (and it does have that Celeste vibe). The pixel art is pretty cute, it’s just a shame the game doesn’t have a more interesting background. The music fits perfectly, too.
The most painful part of the game is the plot… Taxes, job applications... are you sure you were making a platformer and not a horror game?
Anyway, it’s a great game and I’d play it more if you decide to make new levels in the future.
Very very unique concept. It’s pretty hard to get hooked tbh, and the tutorial is quite lengthy and hard to remember everything, but I figured out how everything works by trial and error, and it’s actually pretty interesting. Reached quota around 100
I also really liked the Solar System ballerina. It’s cool that the other planets in the solar system are included with her.
I’d like to praise the game, but it left me incredibly frustrated. It’s a decent Metroidvania with a good atmosphere, (Reminds me Animal Well). But the mechanics involving the wheel are very frustrating. It felt like there was a 40% chance I’d get “The Human” when I needed all the others, and I had to die over and over again. I think this problem could have been solved by only rolling for characters you actually need to progress to a certain point in this particular moment, even if that would have taken away some of the randomness.
In any case, I beat the game anyway and my overall impression of the game is positive, because I love Metroidvania-style games and your minimalistic pixel art
Now this is one of my favorite games on the jam! You’ve come up with some truly fantastic and, most importantly, you did very well-balanced gameplay, all while keeping the wheel spinning randomly. That’s really impressive. I beat the game on my third try and would play more if there were more content.
I also want to praise the UI, it’s just fantastic in the game. Everything clicks very smoothly, everything is very user-friendly, and the wheel customization mechanics are also implemented perfectly (though maybe you could make the reroll button a bit bigger, I didn’t find it right away). I had nothing but fun playing this game! Great job!
Liked it more than I though I would! I've played a lot of “hamster platformer” games on the jam, but this one actually has a pretty engaging spinning mechanic. Jumping is a bit tricky at first, but you get used to it quickly. The levels are pretty good, too, and the difficulty is well-balanced. The art is really cute, and the hamsters are hilarious. Good job!
Next time, you should come up with gameplay that explores the theme first, and then worry about everything else. The graphics are good, but just walking through a maze isn't interesting. It would be somewhat interesting if at leastsomeone were chasing you. But even then, it doesn't really explore the theme all that much.
I did like the ambient music though.
I’ll start with what I didn’t like. In my opinion, the first boss has way too much HP. I almost quit the game because I thought I was doing something wrong and attacking him incorrectly. But I finally beat him on my 15th try, and the rest of the bosses weren’t nearly as difficult. I’m also not sure if the game really fits the theme. It’s more “Bounce to win” than “Spin to win.”
Aside from that, visually, I love this minimalistic pixel art, the animations are gorgeous and vibrant, and attacks feel really satisfying. The boss designs are excellent (aside from the first boss’s HP pool), I had a blast fighting them. The mechanics feel solid, too. And the way the movement mechanics felt reminded me of the game Leap Year (I don’t know if you were inspired by it in any way).
Really enjoyed your game! In terms of gameplay, it’s probably one of the best games I’ve played on this jam.
Died on wave 5.
I'm surprised this game has so few reviews. I liked it, the visuals are great, and I really like the 3D models and vfx effects. The hit sounds are very satisfying too.
On the downside, the gameplay felt too slow to me. I think you should have given the player a shorter attack cooldown from the start, and also the upgrades don’t provide particularly powerful or interesting boosts. -2% of wheel speed sounds way too insignificant. And the game lacks variety.
But it’s still a great job overall. Had fun!
I beat all 15 levels in about half an hour. It’s a great puzzle platformer. The puzzles are very clever and not repetitive. The music is great too, and the pixel art and the hampter are really cute. The only downside is that on the last level, there was something wrong with the inertia, and I couldn’t fly out of the green pipe at high speed. I had to repeat that jump 5–10 times to get the hamster to fly upward. But anyway i enjoyed all the way
It’s really impressive that you managed to put together something that actually works with such a large development team. However I can’t say the gameplay was super interesting. The first level I encountered was a maze that took me about 3 minutes to get through, and right after that came another one just like it, but in the dark . I was starting to think all the mini-games will be some kind of mazes, but luckly I quickly found a note. The game’s visuals are awesome, and the music is great, boss fight was fun. Congratulations to everyone who worked on the game!
Really cool music that really sets the mood for the game. I really liked how you managed to incorporate the skill check from Dead by Daylight (maybe this thing has a proper name) into every scene in one way or another. It’s cool that you use it to make purchases in the store and restart the game. You’re constantly in that rhythm. It’s really awesome.
