Very Unique game! Love the concept, this can definitely branch out into more different types of plants with levels like flowers, bushes etc. Nice job!
Can’t go wrong with a Pinball game. Simple and clean aesthetic. Solid ball-collision and gameplay.
Very nice and simple game.
Neat little pinball game.
This "pinball with a twist" game had a fairly simple concept but it is skill-based, fun to mess around with and the speed felt good to me. I was a little confused when the tree suddenly disappeared after I'd fully grown it and then began growing anew - maybe there could be an indication of a "tree score" increase of some kind? A little shaking up of the gameplay as the player progresses could also have been an awesome addition but all in all this was an enjoyable submission! Great work, thanks for sharing! :)
This one is pretty chill and cool and I kinda did grow a tree after a couple of fails haha. Good game!
Unique game, I haven't expected to see this kind of game on this jam. I feel like the ball is a little slow, makes gameplay a little sluggish. Otherwise, neat little game!
Having the score makes the tree grow is a great idea, could be a cool theme for a pinball.
Gameplay wise I feel like the "out lanes" on the sides attract the balls way too much! On my first game I went from the plunger to the lane three times in a row and didn't even get to hit the ball once xD.
Being able to shake helps a bit but it's still too hard.
I wasn't expecting to see a pinball game in this jam! But this is very cool and the tree growing mechanic is a nice unique idea.
This is a finely executed game. The game is pinball, so nothing super original in gameplay, but the flippers work and I like that you're growing a tree in the middle by getting sun and water. I think more visual and audio ques would have really enhanced the game, but for a game jam game this is pretty good. Also, I really like the play on words of the title.
I've rarely seen this kind of pinball concept in a video game, Cool idea !
Wow, takes me back to being a kid spending hours on the pinball machines lol. Very unique take on the theme and really fun execution too. I don't know, even though it's not necessarily a "cozy game," something about it feels very home-y and nice. Your outlined additions all sound amazing, and I also think it'd be really cool to have some kind of meta-progression--like a garden slowly building up in the background or something. Also, being able to slightly control the ball makes it 5x better than regular pinball. Great stuff!!
Thanks for the feedback! I like the idea of a garden growing in the background. A really cool idea my dev partner had was transitioning between levels by having a bird pick up the ball (it’s supposed to represent a fruit or a seed) and dropping it on a new table. Alas, time got very short.
I like the concept. The floaty physics makes it a bit difficult to calibrate the shot, but it’s a pretty short Jam :) It’s been a while since I played a pinball game!
Interesting take on the theme! I was a little sad when my tree disappeared after reaching full growth:'( Ireally like the fruit-ball idea you mentioned or any switch up really to add to the feeling of progression. The flapper sounds are so satisfying, and I didn't mind that there was no music.
Liked it, it convinced me stay for a while and practice to achieve my goal. Just some troubles with the missing bounce from the blue pads on the sides.
Fun and very unique game and I loved the sounds!!
I had some trouble with losing the ball to quickly, because it didn't bounce of the blue pads on the left/right.
Thanks for playing! We ran out of time tweaking some of the physics. That's definitely something we would improve for sure.
Thanks for checking out our game! Time definitely snuck up on us, and we forgot we had day jobs so we lost most of the day on Friday. However, we managed to get something playable and a good base started if we ever wanted to expand on this idea.
