Great job! I love how the enemies actually track you — getting that pathfinding right is tricky, and it really makes the game feel alive. The enemy animations are smooth and satisfying to watch.

A few things that could make it even better: I noticed a small bug where the enemies keep moving when the game is paused. The pause panel could look nicer if it were semi-transparent. The obstacles also feel a bit blocky compared to the rest of the visuals, so a little extra polish there could go a long way.

Keep it up — you’ve learned a lot from making this, and that experience will definitely help in your next project.

Yeah aha the pause menu was a very last minute addition, will definitely improve at some point. Thanks for playing!

Great little alien brawler! If you want a suggestion, I'd maybe consider moving the indicator for when your next attack is ready down attached to the player or more center on screen in general.  Maybe increase the player attack speed to give some empowerment.

I look forward to more games from you! :)

Good idea! Thanks:

Finally a worthy succesor to Chex Quest. I really enjoyed this one, great job!

The latter levels are tough as nails, couldn't make it all the way through. There are times like this that really makes you wish for a flamethrower.

That's the best suggestion yet🤯🔥🔥🔥Glad you liked it :)

Good job putting this together in an all-nighter. Main feedback is for me personally the movement felt a little off. I felt like jumping all the time but had to then be reminded that there is no jump, just up-down movement. I think it would feel more natural if the game was isometric, maybe that's just me. The globs kept ganking and having a cooldown on the attack made progression feel difficult to me personally.

Thanks for the feedback! Do you think no cooldown or just a much smaller cooldown would be better?

I think a smaller cooldown and a little bit of playtesting to fine tune it would be perfect. I don't think you should take it out altogether.

Ok thanks, I agree:)

Great game and concept. one small improvement can be having less of a puzzle style gameplay and placement of enemies as others have indicated but yeah cool game.

solid and very difficult game. With more polish this could be really fun

This is a neat concept! It could use improvements in polish and gameplay, so here's a couple of things I noticed:

1. It feels frustrating when you hit a glob into another one, just to have it spawn a third. Even if I killed it in that hit, it doesn't feel like I made progress in the level. Maybe you could have code that identifies the reason a glob hit another (for example,  did they run into each other, or did the player hit them into each other).

2. A follow up to thing 1 is that once the globs started coming together, I felt powerless to clear them because of the damage I do and the cooldown on my attack. There's probably some space to explore beyond tweaking numbers.

3. I wished this had felt a bit more chaotic, but because the enemies spawn in the same places it felt more like a puzzle-combat game rather than a "oh no, I gotta run for my life" every time I restarted a level.

Overall, I think this idea has potential and looking into the changes mentioned could be a good starting point for fleshing this out into a full game if you wanted. Congrats on submitting!

Thanks for the feedback! #1 makes sense, I initially figured that hitting a glob into another having it spawn a new one was part of the chaos but there's probably enough bumping without hitting to feed into that! The other points are also very valid, I'll consider it for an update! Thanks for playing:)
