Love what you've done with the visuals, this is a particularly unique looking entry!

I'd love to see this finished up!

I really like the drawn style for your assets and textures. The ending was interesting but it happened a bit too abruptly, it could have used a few seconds to fade in and out. But besides that nice job on the atmosphere!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, this is useful info. Will keep this in mind. :)

Hi! 5 stars for aesthetics! Sound design is also very good.

What a pity that the game is unfinished. Will you finish it after the gamejam?

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much! That's very nice of you :)

Will definitely finish the game some time soon, excited to continue the story.

Like the rest of the comments I've gotta say the controls felt really smooth and the aesthetic looked great. One thing I would say is the pacing is a little sharp at the end, going from no sense of threat to *not gonna say for spoilers but you know*, but obviously this is just for the jam and i know u wanna do more stuff so that's not a big issue. I definitely think cutting back was the right decision cos what is there atm feels really polished, nice work!

Developer(+1)

The initial plan was to build up that tension/threat in the forest, but yeah sadly had to remove the work I did due to lack of programming time. Thanks for checking out the game, I'll try your game a bit later. :D

I liked it! Character control, design, music and the last scene. I got lost in the forest, but when I found a way out, I was really scared, it was unexpected! I'm not sure if I've completed the game. Overall, it was a pleasant experience! :)

Developer(+1)

Was it the warehouse that's scary? I always find abandoned warehouses kinda creepy, specially at night. Feels like they're out of place for some reason. Anyway, the official story does not end there yet. In this version I had to cut it due to lack of time, but I'm happy you still had a nice time. :D

I'm just trying not to spoiler about what was in the warehouse! I wouldn't want to visit abandoned warehouses at night, unless in the game of course ;)

Really great looking game! Both the character models and environment models were stylized nicely, and the animation for crawling through the fence was great :) Lighting was also done well, created a really good mood in the game. Good job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Definitely put most of the time to develop the art, animation and setting, really wanted to put out the vision I've been having for this game. Glad you enjoyed it! :D

I really enjoyed the graphical style you took with this game!  I struggled a bit with finding my way through the forest but I liked the feeling of it. Really great job with what you've done!

Developer (1 edit)

It's really experimental on this one, glad you enjoyed the graphics. The maze forest was actually a lot harder before. The current version is the simplified one, I hope it wasn't too much of a pain to navigate. 馃槄 Also I got to admit I designed it to be tricky, because I thought getting to the goal would only take around minute or less, but originally I planned on having something in there that helps to find your path, but had no more time to dev haha.

Absolute fan of the modeling! I really like how responsive the character was to the mouse and little details like how they would crouch under the fence. The environmental design was pretty great too.

Don't want to spoil it for others reading this, but is there anything past the scene with the moon?

Anyway, great job with the game! If you're updating it more in the future, good luck with that!

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much! In this jam version it will end at that moon scene, but supposedly there are more interactions/scenarios in and after that part. Really had to cut off a lot of content so that this version can look as cohesive as it can be. But yeah, definitely will work on finishing this short game. :)

Very unique pretty style and the music was really good too!  It's really did feel like being lost on a surreal night :)

Developer(+1)

I was inspired from Tim Burton's work, and also from the animated band Gorillaz for the visual look. As for the music, first time collaborating with someone with the expertise. I'm really impressed myself with his compositions and the speed in which he makes them. I'll make sure to relay your comments to him. Thanks a lot! :D

Wow!

Atmosphere is there, controls are smooth, the character is rigged and animated very well, and I got scared at the end! Almost forgot about the sounds and music! They were great too!

The only minor thing I can say that bugged me, is that the ground textures specular is a bit high, and the the game could be way more dark (as in lighting). Also, maybe some hints on where to go, like different type of bushes on the critical path, or even some foot (hoof?) prints.

Great experience, unique art style!

Developer(+1)

Hi, thanks for the feedback. I agree, the ground could be better, but had to leave it at that because I only had one day left for programming lol, but yeah a hint system/guide was supposed be implemented, sadly I had to cut it too, I worked hard on that though. Excited to add that in the next update. Thank you so much for playing!

Submitted(+1)

Very effective non-traditional graphical style. It was fun how the stuck car and other minor interactions were all communicated without relying on text. Took me longer than I'd care to admit to get out of the forest maze haha

Developer

Hi, thanks for playing, I was supposed to put text info at some areas of the game but never got to doing them cause you know, we all need a little bit more dev time haha... But I'm glad you understood the context just by looking at the surroundings. And yes, I designed the forest to make the players lost but too bad I couldn't implement the helping hand there.
