Woah, this was a very cool experience! Great work on the transitions!

I only have one criticism; there should be some feedback when the player is able to interact with an object. At the start of the game, I started exploring the area instead of interacting with the eyes and got stuck as I did not realise that I had to be in the correct position to interact with the eyes. (I was trying to interact with it past the tombstone)

Developer

That's a very good point, all of my games have an interaction system but it really should have a better notification to the player, I will definitely keep that in mind!

Definitely agree with others, as I felt the dread as well, great job! Impressive transitions and smooth controls too. Didn't need the jump, but it was nice to play around with. Just need optimizing on some laggy areas as I felt a little bit of motion sickness. But other than that this is nice work!

Developer

Damn sorry about the motion sickness. And I can't do much about the lag because the portals used in the game are super expensive and it won't let me cull or stream them out without getting a bunch of errors

I'm glad you enjoyed the rest of it though!

This is great! The sounds create an eerie atmosphere that suits the game well. It looks good and the guiding eyes is an interesting character. The transitions between environments are great, the forest and the futuristic/weird one were my favorite. The movement felt a little too fast and I had some noticeable fps drops in the forest when looking back and in the church, maybe because of all the trees? Anyway this is a solid entry, would love to see more. Great job!

Developer

I’m really glad you liked the game!

The fps drop is due to the portals, I got them off the Unreal Marketplace and they are very performance heavy. The annoying thing is that I can’t cull or stream them out without getting a bunch of errors so they are always loaded

A nice cosmic horror! Fantastic, was real creeped out with the lighting transitions. All dread and no jump scares.

I got some HP lovecraft vibes during the ending, really well done!

"The cubes Mason, what do they mean?!"

It is a good concept, I enjoyed the gameplay and the story! Nice visuals! Keep up the good work :)

Hey awesome game, such a creative experience. Loved the idea with the floating eyes and breaking/changing reality.

sound design was also very cool. nice work!

Hello! I love that you experimented with non-euclidean stuff (that's what it is, right?). I did fall off the map in the second room (after the first candle) and also the gate fully disappeared one time. Also, I think the footstep sounds could be more frequent. Overall, I liked the concept, and the visuals at the end were really cool!

Developer(+1)

that’s strange :/ but I’m glad you let me know. And I yeah I’m pretty sure it’s non-Euclidean but I’m not fully sure

This is really cool. I love how seamless the transitions are. I also liked the big reveal of going outside the church. Great work!

Ah, fellow Unreal user =D

Good stuff: Visuals! Especially lighting. Nice use of portals. Interesting conclusion :) Pleasant on the ear

Bad stuff: Interacting with eyes is very finnicky, you have to be in the right spot. I fell under the map when exploring the forest :C Incomplete gamepad controls (cannot interact with stuff).

Developer

Thanks for the criticism, I didn't consider adding gamepad controls but ill keep that in mind for the future. Also sorry that you fell under the map, I'm not sure what would have caused that
