Really liked the style you were going for, the 2d sprites were so charismatic, and the animations were on point, really loved the snippets of story I can already see a lot of potential in the full version for more hilariousness. I love meta jokes hahaha.

Thank you so much! Glad you thought the dialoguewas hilarious, it's always hard to tell whether the dialogue is good when you are writing it :) Thank you for your comment and for playing! :D

Unusual mix of 2d and 3d which I really like. Chevalier looks really designed :D
I like the dialogs much (especially with "amazon man") :D
Thanks for a great game, hope to see a full version! Good luck with it!

Developer

Thank you so much! We're glad the art and dialogue all came together and you enjoyed it :DD We will work hard to make a great full version! Thank you again for your nice comments and taking the time to play :)

Catchy visuals and theme. I also like the easter eggs at the graveyard, it was fun to look at them all.
One thing that maybe would be nicer if you could use "E" on every interaction rather than having to use the left click or the space button, just for ease of use. :)

Developer

Thank you so much! And thank you for taking the time to read all the gravestones :) I definitely agree! I'm new to coding so I couldn't figure it out in time for the jam but I will definitely update the game to work mainly with the keyboard and not the mouse click :) Thank you again for playing and taking the time to comment! :D

I enjoyed it. The 2D graphics remind me of some of the point-and-click games that came out in the mid to late 90's. The 2D/3D mix was an interesting combo, but I would have liked to see maybe the #d be cel-shaded or something so it matched the art style better.

I had a problem where, seemingly completely at random, the camera and the control scheme would reverse. It made it a bit annoying to move and restricted my view. I don't know if that was meant to be, but if so, please get rid of it!

Besides that, the game is a pretty nifty idea, and a tightening up of the graphics would make a good start for a professional quality game. The per-pixel lighting was a nice and aesthetically pleasing addition.

Developer

Thank you for your comments! We are aware of that bizarre camera issue, on the last day of the jam when we were play testing it happened seemingly at random in some of our play tests but not all, so we sadly couldn't figure out a fix in time before submissions were due, we definitely will have it fixed in the future! Thank you for still playing even with that bug being annoying! Thank you again for your comments and the graphics will be tightened up and bugs fixed in the future finished version :)

Developer

Also a quick update I think the bug is gone now! It seemed there was a line of code wrong in the camera follow script so it seems like it is working now!

Love the cardboard cutout type of character art!!!  the shadows work really well with it too! Not bad of a gameplay either Nice work!

Would love to get your feedback on our game!

Developer

Thank you so much! That was the stuff we had the most fun doing so we're happy you liked it too!

We'll definitely check it out! :)

Thank you so much for playing, we really appreciate it! We will continue to develop this game after the jam and hopefully have a full game someday :D
