Cool game, I like the UI and the tooltip explanations were very helpful. the background was also trippy and pretty. I didn't do more than 1 run, but I can see how it would start getting crazy with all the different decks. I personally think that for a jam it makes more sense to tune your game for that one first run instead of subsequent runs, since many people won't invest that much time into the game. I also think that the pass/negative die mechanic was kind of interesting but should be expanded further - currently it seems like you just always use it to pass die that are bad most of the time, but you would never use it on even a really weak positive die since either way you're using up a turn.

Fantastic work, I liked how the UI works, it's very beautiful, (a little confusing) the animations are very satisfactory and mixed with the sound effects it was very pleasant

Really loved the inspiration on Balatro! Visually it looks pretty good but I think the crt shader lines should be more dimmed or not be there at all, I really wanted to look at the moving background and I think it would look better without them. I also loved the fact you could speed up the game. Really good job!

Developer

i tried to reduce the scanlines but the shaders were too confusing glad you had fun tho

Hi! I didn't quite understand how to play, but I could sense a reference to the Balatro style, and I liked it. Well done!

Developer

roll the dice to reduce the round objective (and get score from it), the dice can have all sort of effects stacked on it and its very simple, the effects shows triggers of the effect (hit 5) or like (not 3) and the effect itself (pts + 5) and ($$ + 10). if theres a negative effect you dont want to take risk accidentally hitting, just pass the dice. thats all!

The balatro inspiration is palpable, in a great way!
The visuals are amazing, and so is the music.

Very fun to play too, easily one of the best entries i've personally seen so far

Beautiful design and music. But I didn't like the gameplay. What do you do in the game? - Solve arithmetic tasks. How can a player influence the game? - Roll or pass.

Why should I put negative effects on the board?

Right now, your hint is blocking button presses. The leaderboard must be working. I did see other players' scores once.

Developer

if you pass, if your current dice has any effects on it, it will be turned to score (5 points per effect * multiplier,  but it doesnt affect the objective) so technically its very useful for people pursuing the leaderboard

Nice UI interface, but maybe explain or show how each stack affects the total,

Plase try my game

Developer

i tried to make it look as simple as possible, "roll" is literally your rolled number, "pts" means how much actual points you get to both score and objective, '$$" means money, "multi" means multiplier

from there you can already understood the basic math sentences

The Aesthetics of this game is 5 out of 5, it literally looks so good, amazing game ?It was fun game

fun game!! i'll take 5th on the leaderboard lol. i think the stackables thing feels a bit clunky but the core gameplay is tight and i think with a bit of refinement you could easily turn this into a finished product, it's really great!! super impressed with the amount of content you added in such a short time too. great work!!

Really fun and unique game! though i quite dislike the metaprogression present in the game.

Developer

holy- 13k points is crazy work, how do you reckon i approach the progression? the one in the game is well the simplest one i went with i guess theres other ways to controll it

Nice Game , it was fun and got 8th rank on the leaderboard

My first thought was: it can be a pretty good gambling game😂

Really liked it actually, also very impressed by the UI, Animations, and overall feel.
You have put in the effort for even little things, for example hover effects on the bars. Great work.

The game theme and gameplay was so good. its remind me the balatro game theme.

Good luck!

Great game! Love the jazz music style! Was a little confused with the how to play but can be really entertaining.  Something I noticed is that the some of  the hover messages are getting a litle cropped on my screen.

Really cool idea! I liked a lot the graphics and the interaction with the interface is so smooth. I was confuse with the "how to play" part, but while playing is easy to figure it out.
