My highest rated submission so far. This is a very cool concept, fits with both PS1 and Outlaw themes, great replayability. My only thing is i just wish the models/characters were better! While I get it's low poly i feel it'd look way better with proper PS1 style character models and animations, I feel it would have made it way more PS1 feeling as well. Has a lot of potential for sure! Really fun though, great work!
The talk ability definitely needs a bit of balancing. You can win every time just by talking :D
Nice concept though, and the sounds were really funny. Especially the talking sound.
Neat game!
I’d love to see more levels or an extended version—this is too good to end so soon!
a very easy game where I easily managed to beat the other guy.
not much to say as this is a short game but a good attempt of making a duel game.
I think this could use some balancing. The AI is really dumb, and it will almost never finish you off. So you can either just recharge 4 times in a row, then slaugther him, or just talk 7 times in a row and you'll automatically win. Tempted to run some simulations with these two strategies (given the AI chooses random each time). It was a good first game, but I think you could've added more polish for the time given for the jam.
Really nice visuals and sounds, and pretty simple concept that could be expanded in the future to become pretty solid experience, liked it a lot!
This reminds me of a little irl game we used to play with our friends during lunch break. Had a lot of fun playing this!
Pretty cool idea! I think it’d be better if the shoot option was hidden when you don’t have charged bullets. Also, the description of the Protect option is a bit misleading—it doesn’t actually reflect shots, just saves you.
A good concept that I feel could be expanded on and maybe turn into a roguelike game where you can develop a build of some kind where you could talk your way out of stuff or blast the opponent
