- Great music, good art, and aligned with the theme. The orange blocks behaved a bit too unpredictably.
How does your game bring our theme, The Error is the Feature, to life?
Whenever we make platformers, some blocks randomly do weird stuff. Here, the point of the game is that there are many glitch blocks as part of the level design.
Did you include a fake publisher splash screen at the start of your game?
No
Did you use the Audius API in your game?
No

Got a lot of fun with wacky platforms! There are some frustration situations with seemingly precise jumps, even though after a lot of tries I understood that it was possible to jump over the whole thing...
The whole narrator thing is pretty cute and adds a lot of flavor, even though it clearly is too slow sometimes with fast character activating a lot of story points in a short time
We totally agree about the narrator being a little slow. It was designed for someone who just can't play platformers. In hindsight, we probably should have had the thoughts move a lot faster throughout the game.
Clever ideas and fun implementation!
The character controls feel good, but I think the camera controls is not that great. Whenever you jump down from high for example, it always lag behind and don't let you see below. Audio is ok, but I feel like the music is a bit mismatched for the vibe of the game. Visuals are simple but cute.
When I play though, on web, the game usually lags when I'm falling down in the air. I don't know what causes it. I like the checkpoints system.
Overall a well polished entry. Good job!
Thanks for all this amazing feedback! We love hearing from players on what we should improve on for newer games.
Matto mass loved the way I used colors have different effect I was locked in a phase unfitly, if I can evaluate me too thank you.
Very cool! A platformer I actually enjoyed!
Great game! :D
We are so glad that you enjoyed playing!
Very cool. I loved the charming artstyle and the narrator!
The confusion with trying to wrap your head around all the block effects is a lot of fun. I also loved the instant respawning, made the game feel much more streamlined. The visual effects and feel are really nice, though i do wish there was a bit more audio feedback (for boosts, and dying at least)
Great job!
Glad you found the complexity of the game interesting. We will definitely add more effects in a newer version.
This is truly amazing! I love the experience this game provides. The background music is great, and the effects for movement and death are very well-polished. The checkpoint system for death is incredibly thoughtful! The only issue I can think of is the lack of a sound effect when you die. Congratulations!
Thanks! We loved making this game and we were planning to add more sound effects but ended up running out of time.
Very nice game! This reminded me of those old Minecraft parkour maps where standing on different colored clay blocks gave you different status effects.
The game was very charming, and I liked the little bit of story (and tutorial explanations) provided by the narrator. The movement also felt very clean, and the effects and particles was very satisfying, making death to a set of spikes a pretty fun experience. As many others have mentioned, the liberal amount of checkpoints throughout the game made it much more bearable, as this is definitely a game that got me frustrated after a few minutes of playing. With the "bug" theme where things act differently as you might expect, however, I'd say this isn't a bad thing at all. Your team captured this essence very well!
I'm unsure if I was supposed to be carefully looking at what colors the blocks were and then acting accordingly, or just blitzing through and trial-and-erroring. I kind of found myself doing the latter, just because the camera view was so small and the movement of the player was so fast. I think because I was doing this, I never really stopped and paused to think what the vairous blocks did (unless they were explained for me). I just kept jumping around where I felt like I could jump, and I ended up finishing the levels. At the beginning, I actually just ran through the original first "fake wall" without even knowing it was supposed to be a "fake wall".
For a game that is centered around bugs, the gameplay felt very smooth and entertaining! Loved it. Keep it up. :D
We love that you enjoyed playing the game! Thanks for the feedback. We will definitely experiment with some of the values to make future games more strategy based.
Super fun platformer with a lot of polish/game juice! I'm impressed with the variety of platform "glitches" you managed to come up with, bouncing and jumping from one platform to another was incredibly satisfying. I really appreciated that the "save points" were close to where you died which significantly reduced frustration and I managed to get to the end :)
Having the platforms be colour-coded can be difficult for someone who is colour-blind though. Overall, great entry!
So glad you loved the variety of the platforms and all the checkpoints scattered throughout the levels. We will see about adding something to help with color blindness in future versions.
This is my favorite platformer from this jam so far. You've got some excellent game juice and the platforming is just the right amount of challenging. My only complaint is the inconsistency of the colored blocks. I know it's the buggy part of the game, but I felt like what happened on what color block was a bit inconsistent at times which just led to a memorization game.
I appreciate the generous checkpointing, and it was a fun experience to play all the way through!
Glad you enjoyed the game! We will look into the colored blocks and their consistency for future versions. We wanted to add an in-game key or legend as the player discovered new colors in order to make the colors less confusing but we didn't have enough time.
I'm so cooked, this game is really well made... really leaned into the theme by being super chaotic, great game feel, amazing pacing, forgiving checkpoints, good art and sound design also can't forget the silly story and the fact I played until the end, like all the boxes have been checked, such a solid submission well done!
Thank you so much! We played your game and loved it as well!
Really cool game . I had to finish it.
The music goes so hard.
Thanks! Our music is fully original and made through Ableton Live. We played your game and found it super fun and an amazing idea for this theme.
Cool Platformer! Its a cool balance between challenging but at the same time forgiving with the many checkpoints!
Glad you enjoyed playing! The checkpoints definitely do make the game much more manageable.
I really appreciate the many checkpoints, thanks to that I made it to the end without getting too frustrated. (I now realized there is a rating queue, will come back to rate this later)
The music was super epic too, but I wish there was a death sound effect (and others)
Glad you had fun playing! With more time, we were planning on adding more sound effects or animations.
