How does your game bring our theme, The Error is the Feature, to life?
I was making my game which started off first person when I had a strange bug making the camera point toward the character and decided to run with it, also calling it [error] was on the nose cause uploading was for sure chaotic

Did you include a fake publisher splash screen at the start of your game?

No

Did you use the Audius API in your game?

No

If AI was used in your game, let us know how you used it.
I didn't use AI for this project

I missed two batteries D: — it might be a good idea to make them a bit bigger so they’re easier to see when you’re close.

Erm, I did add sound... hmm might be a bug... Nooo, I want them to be hard to find but easy to spot so I added the light but I see what you mean, if it helps batteries are around sites of interest like slender: the eight pages. maybe a sound or feedback when you're near them?

I’ll play it again in case it was a download error or something. If there is sound, I’ll edit the previous comment.

I figured out what’s happening: when you launch the game there’s no sound at all, but if you go into the settings, you can see that both the Master and Music sliders are set to 40. To actually hear something, you have to either raise Music to 100 or tweak both sliders to above around 70.

This seems like a configuration issue with Unity’s audio system... I would need to see the configuration to explain it better or to understand more clearly what’s going on.

About the batteries, I see what you mean… hmm… maybe make the light flash? Adding a sound could help too. Other options might be a slight vibration, a small outline or tiny particle effects that appear only when the player is nearby... anything that helps spot them up close without making them too obvious from afar.

I hope I explained myself well (English is not my first language).

I 'm going to change my previous comment and the rating to be fairer, sorry for the inconvenience.

It's a really nice idea for a horror game that has potential! The camera and controls are disorienting and unnerving, which is a good build up for scares, but I assume there was not enough time to fully flesh that potential out. Still enjoyed the concept!

Developer

Yeah I bit off a bit more than I could chew, there was so many more features I had planned that I couldn't implement in time. I'm definitely going to work in 2d next jam but I'm glad to have had at least a solid foundation and functional game loop. It needs a reason to run toward the camera instead of backwards every where like maybe some entities that are harmful and more dynamic than the passive angels
