Played live on Jamlytics VC- hopefully feedback helped a bit :)

AI is harsh though- it cheats by never being affected by glitches too! pls fix xd

It's pong! Really fun little remake, enjoyed it. Definitely played longer than I expected to! Great submission.

The AI was very hard but I guess skill issue and also the fact its not affected by glitch either must be fun against a friend tho. The arts and sound assets are perfect

The game is as simple as possible, but what an excellent visual!

Good game! I had skill issues but I had fun playing this, haha.

The visuals is well done and fit the vibe of the game, but I found that the default mode of the screen constantly changing colors was too distracting on top of the glitches, so I had to turn that one off. The audio is pretty simple but good to listen to.

I spoke about balance a bit earlier, so again maybe it's a skill issue, but I found Graphic Ghosting incredibly difficult to play with, all the other ones feel somewhat fairer. On the randomly chosen glitches and fixes that happen periodically, sometimes the game would fix an error that had just appeared, so maybe it could be better to only let the game fix the glitches that has been active for some time instead.

Overall a pretty cool twist to the classic game. Well done!

Wow you made this feel so tense ahha. i feel like im always at the butt of the glitches TT.

The game is super polished and smooth, and the music is nice. the bouncing sound was super satisfying to listen too. I liked all the crazy errors you guys came up with, but penalising the AI too sometimes might make it feel more balanced (i have no friends, sorry).

I appreciate slowing the game down when an error message came on screen, this gave me time to read it and adjust. This is a great entry for the jam, Gg.

I'll say I really appreciate the vibes. It's always nice when there's some visual juice going on especially when the game is otherwise simple to look at.  That said, it is still just pong.
Having random glitches just randomly turn on and off feels a bit unmotivated and I just kinda gave up when the paddle became uncontrollable and the screen was upside down so i couldn't read anything. I feel like we did a similar glitch system in our game but it's a difficult balance to strike of not doing anything too annoying too quickly before the player is invested I think.
But anyway, good job on the vibes and I imagine you didn't have to stress too much with a more simple concept, unlike us 😅

Really love all the extra polishes in this game. The fact that you can change the colour of the pong, stopping the screen when a "glitch" happens (and when it's fixed), how every stage of the announcement changes the visuals. I never thought how drastically pong can change just by layering different "glitches". I also like the design choice of "fixing" glitches as I have to keep track of what "glitches" are being applied and how to use the controls. Fantastic job!

Great atmosphere!

I liked the game so much, I turned it into a bedtime story:

I played with glitches stacked on me
nifty colors fun to see

Glitch on glitch they nipped at me
nifty colors danced with glee

Glitches stacked against my spree
CRT rainbows fantastically

Stack the glitches one two three
nifty colors cheer for me

The ball went boop through static sea
glitches piled pretty to see

Glitches tall as they could be
nifty colors set me free

I really liked how some of the jammers decided to recreate those classic good old games and give them some twists and that definitely makes the game much more fun! Love the CRT and glitch effects and those make the game more classic feel and creates some good old days vibe. Great job!

I couldn't beat the AI some of those glitches really threw me. Great time though, good job.

I like how CRT shader combining with modifiers it creates an such cool atmosphere! But the game was a little difficult for me :P. Very funny, i enjoyed it!

Glad you enjoyed! :D

There's a Casual Mode too, which makes everything a little slower, the AI slightly worse, and the glitches slightly less frequent, you can enable it by clicking the "Difficulty: Normal" on the titlescreen

Okay, thank you!

Very clever use of the theme to gradually up the challenge. Loved the variety of bugs and how they could sometimes end up benefiting me. What a beautiful CRT screen presentation as well. Had a ton of fun playing!

Crispy CRT shader.  Unfortunately I can barely beat pong without modifiers, so this was a bit tough.

Never had so much fun playing pong! Love that the game looked like a CRT monitor!

Great twist on pong and very well executed. Clean visuals and those hit sounds are super satisfying
