Your fire power and damage can grow to absurd amounts. Also, some UI is 'broken'. All UI elements can be shot at, which improves related value (hp/item/score/etc.).

Haha very funny game. I was playing it straight up for a little while then realized the glitch. Very amusing implementation. Got the slow mo bug so didn't finish, but enjoyed nonetheless.
The cover art was really nice looking, by the way. It could've been integrated better into the actual game but the character art itself is great.

What do you mean by 'cover art'? Game logo or game menu? And when you talking about character art that could've been integrated better, are you talking about how it is tricky to control sometimes?
I meant the game characters as they appear on the main menu and such. Like the main character. And the enemies. They look good by themself but by integrated better I just mean they look really flat with the background. So that could be an improvement point for the next time is making the art with the camera view of the game in mind.
The end boss is the slo-mo. I had fun making the numbers go down.

Thanks, yeah, slow-mo can be broken at times, but spotted it too late. Thankfully doesn't happen every time
amazing game! It took me one death to learn the ins and outs of the game. Like it says you can shoot at naything to increase its value (sorry Im bad at reading instructions). Clearly the increase fire rate is the way to go. I got such a high fire rate I think I broke the space time continuum (the numbers were flip flopping positive and negative due to number overflow and flipping the negative bit). I love the concept and its very addictive! Amazing art and music.
Thanks, yeah, i could limit some numbers (and i did for example for movement speed, because it makes the game unplayable if you move from corner to corner at a speed of light) bit i figured that number overflow is fun :)
btw, i thought about naming this game 'U and I' :)

Hi, just the usual Unity services one. It's free and works. But I built the UI myself. Unity just has API for calls like "AddNewScore, GetTop10Players, etc." So it's not like production ready, you will need to setup it yourself, like sending, loading, displaying results in ui. Good luck!

I really enjoy this style of game, and you managed to introduce the jam theme in a very different, fun, and innovative way!
The art is beautiful, and the music fits perfectly.
As a suggestion, it would be cool to have a hit animation or effect for the main character. I found it a bit difficult when the bigger monsters appear in large quantities, but it was funny.
I also liked the score ranking.
Yeah, lost hp definatelly need some indication. But if you play your cards(upgrades) right, you don't really need to worry about health after a few minutes :)

This was so much fun, Skylar gave me no choice to play it and try and beat her score. Looks like I flew too close to the sun lol. What a fun game, love that risk of going to hard in a run. Felt so good to play

Yeah, scores can break sometimes, from overflow.
wonder how hard it would be to quickly swap the score out for a larger integer? You could possibly use "BigInteger" as a little bug fix while ya can.

Awsome game, I loved that you could heal yourself by shooting the hp bar XD Wish the monsters did not come out so fast, got pretty overwhelming pretty quickly and was not able to do enough damage.

Try increasing shooting speed, and the enemies will be easy.
