Love the aesthetic and all but I found aiming to be difficult. I guess I'm just used to aiming with the mouse.

It´s curious how a lot of proyects used the tongue in the gameplay I guess thats an important part of frogs. As for the game I ike the arcade feel and the cool effects you use.

A very nice game! The 3d art and effects were very well done. Kudos to you! The tongue sticking to the towers was a great mechanic as well.

Keep up the good work!

Really liking the aesthetics! This could be really really fun with upgrades/buffs and a blast on couch multiplayer. Good job!

Great game! I think the only way to improve it would be to animate the flies to make them more alive

While the game is good, it's lacking gameplay, why are you eating all these flies for ? Maybe there could be a shop that sells potions that make your tongue longer or a sword that has a bigger area of effect than what you start with

also I run the game on my potato so it didn't run very well and lagged a bit but was playable, put an option to turn off those effects maybe next time

Developer

yeah stuff like that I just didn't have time to implement, I wanted to add different types of flys like bomb flys too

Ill keep that in mind and try to make a more optimized version, thanks for playing

OMG the cute little frog is so hungry.
The game is beautiful, it has some Ghibli-ish style. The first time I ran the game, the WSAD was inverted, refreshing the page fixed the issue. I don't know if it was a game bug or my browser messing with things. I couldn't reproduce.

Really attractive modelling, good concept. I do agree with mouse control you need to be able to shoot the tongue in the direction of the cursor. Pretty fun though!

Super gorgeous game!

Stick the tongue is a unique idea! And I also suggest using mouse position to control which direction I'm facing.

I wish I could attack in the direction of the mouse.

Developer

Thanks for playing! Yeah I thought about doing that, originally I had a controller movement style in mind so I just went with that. but seeing as I never ended up using a controller I should have just done mouse position

Oh I see

The graphics are amazing!  Controls felt good and was fun to chop the red flies and eat the rest of em! Really polished -fantastic work!!! :D

Thanks for playing!

10/10  Easy for anyone to pick up and understand what's going on.

Cheers, I tried to make the controls etc super clear as I think for previous jams ive not explained them well lol

Absolutely gorgeous graphics!

The mechanic where you attach your tongue to a pillar and then clothesline the bugs is really interesting, but I think this game would have really benefited from mouse aiming instead of tank controls. Felt very imprecise.

Developer

Thanks for playing, yeah I probably should have done mouse aiming, originally I wanted it to work for a controller

This looks great! The stage is very beautiful. Sometimes the tongue would stay out, not sure if it was intentional (clicking again usually fixed it). Otherwise super fun!

Developer(+1)

The tongue is supposed to stick to pillars but if it was staying out and not attached to a pillar then thats a bug haha. Thanks for playing!

Ah, ignore my "bug report" then haha
