Thanks for the feedback! I didn't go into detail about the instructions about the controls because all Pico games have to the same inputs but I should have done anyway. Thanks for playing!

Thank you! It aint called froggy heaven haha

This is the difference that having an artists on the team makes, I guess haha. Well done!

Cool game! Love the frog art and the music going up in tempo and pitch is a nice touch!

Tempo probably increases a little too fast. If you wanted it to get that fast that quickly the frog and the items need to be a little smaller I think.

Very nice! A little bit of music really could have helped set it off presentation wise

Thanks! I couldn't think of a well known enough enemy for the frog so I flipped it

Thank you so much! Yes I agree, nose and mouth is hard haha

Thank you for the kind words!

Thank you so much! The music was the last thing I added at 2am haha, it's my first time doing any music for a game!

Thank you for the kind words :D

Thank you! Very kind words from someone with such a good frog jam game :D

Oh damn, this is game of the jam! Love it so so much hahaha

(almost finished the game 9/10 flies) without realising there was a run button haha

Brilliant game, cute art and a great use of the limitation! The controls and physics could be a little bit tighter bit it's still the best platformer of this jam by a long shot!

Cool game! You sorta made more than one level though haha! Also the frog's slide is a bit too much and you should probably tone it down a bit. Well done anyway!

0 frame start up, innit

Cool submission! The controls were tight and the gameplay is paced well.

The numbers attached to the player flip when facing left, which confused me on the first level as I thought I was trying to get 5 frogs all of a sudden! Also getting bonked by rocks/doing some cheeky post frog collection when the menu comes up probably isn't intended. You should probably delete all items when the round ends.

Thank you! Everything looks retro when you make it in PICO-8 haha

It could definitely be more polished, you're not wrong! I started on the Sunday and ran out of time, haha. Maybe I'll come back to it!

Thank you! I really wanted to do a little more with the bg but I ran out of time haha. Thanks for the feedback :D

You're right, the hitboxes are a little overkill, I may make the flybox a bit smaller. Thanks for the feedback!

Hi! You just shoot the parts that are shooting at you! Also it's a bullet hell, so it's sorta meant to be spam haha. Thanks for the feedback anyway!

no hope for me so hahaha

Thanks for the kind words!

Ah, my bad! I swear I tried that multiple times and the CPU didn't seem to care haha! GGs anyway :)

Great game! Also nice to finally find another PICO-8 submission!

Love the jump animation! The concept's great too. Tough though! Have you completeled it yourself?

Good game! The art is really nice, and the fly eating sfx is funny :D I have nothing bad to say really, it's a nice little story :)

Good game! Really fun concept, lovely minamilist graphics and I would have loved it a lot more if I hadn't gotten stuck:

Perhaps I'm just bad, but I hit a point where there was nothing left for me to eat and no where left for me to go. Is this supposed to be a lesson about exhausting the environment haha

Good job on the submission! I wanted to try playing this game some more but with only one life, a stubby attack and having to sit through that wall of text when the game starts I was only able to give it 2 or 3 shots. Even a quick restart rather than kicking the player out to the titlescreen when they die would be much appreciated.

Cool game, the art is really nice and the physics word well most of the time. It would probably be nice if there was some sort of way to interact with the opponent when they're holding the ball, as it stands it feels a bit helpless when you don't have it and a bit OP when you do.

Very pretty, well made! The teleport back into the centre when you leave the play field is a little jarring, and there being no end(?) is a bit odd and removes any kind of urgency. Still, very cool to see a submission made in scratch

Hahaha, okay I'll give it another shot so!

Ahhhh I'm embarrassed I didn't recognised it :) Don't worry too much about the hitbox, I just need to git gud haha

POST BIRD AI EDIT: Much better! The second frog's jump is hilariously floaty, I think I just yeeted myself 4 times and I got to the end. Perhaps tone it down a tad haha.
It's not immediately clear that you walk into stairs to climb them as poison frog, so I was trying to jump them for a while and failing cause he can't go high enough.
Anyway, great submission, well done to the whole team! :)

The art is pretty, and the concept is cool but that bird ai is just an absolute dealbreaker. Set a range the bird wont follow you beyond or make a way to kill it, because it's insane atm!

Definitely the best game I've played this jam! You've definitely got yourself a full game concept here, I'd love to play a full version of this!

The controls are tight, the hitboxes are perfect, the level design is great!

Your "use" of the limitation is a little cheeky. It feels like multiple levels even though you are techinically "building" the one level. If you had had the frog zip back to the starting position and the new level pieces traverse in then it would have served to make it feel like the one room perhaps? As it stands I think it's basically 8 levels haha

Also for accessibility reasons the bg should be disable-able.

Aesthetically lovely game, but it's not got a lot going on... Some evenets or anything would be nice!

Well done! The gameboy aesthetic is pulled off very well. Would be nice if you could hold down a button to speed up the game somewhat, it's a little slow paced at the moment

Hey, good stuff! Banger track too, did you make it?

The hitboxes on the projectiles are a little wild, you might want to tone them down (or the player's hurtbox)

Great game, very well made! It's not super obvious when the attacks are coming but I guess that's part of the difficulty.

Ah, ignore my "bug report" then haha

Absolutely loved it! I would definitely play a fully fleshed out version of this. Well done!

When you respawn it would be nice for the game to make it a lot more obvious where you have been put. I lost my last life because the game plopped me in the middle of a bunch of frogs and I couldn't tell who I was!
