Are you on mac? A friend of mine had a similar issue. Working fine on linux but yet to test on Windows...

It's a lot of what others have said. The money is a bit hard to come by at first until you find the stash on the left and it's not exactly amazing fun going over there to collect it, die and repeat just so you can going. I'd make every enemy drop $1-2, especially as the enemies are so tough to kill. Let the player become powerful more quickly I'd say. The stamina bar is a good idea, but having to come to a complete stop just to regen it is annoying; and because you can just tap forward and ride your momentum you can mostly ignore it (though I think this is unintentional.

I killed the human, but mostly to put him out of his misery hahaha

Cool idea! I like the idea of testing things to see what grows and what doesn't.

Finished with full upgrades! Funny speed strat of go left, get the three piles of cash; yeet self in hole; buy speed upgrades; repeat over and over til fully kitted. Then leg it to the end haha

Love the aesthetic, with some tweaks to gameplay this would be amazing

Good work! I'm obsessed with the parallax title screen! As a VS fan I enjoyed the game loop a lot, though I would say that Level ups should be offered without a click, the most challenging part of the game is finding the button when things are hectic! Still, very polished, very cool, ggs

Thank you! Honestly it was a 11th hour change, but given the restriction it felt wrong to make a game that was too punishing.

Awesome game, the sound slowly dying out with the flame was a great touch!

Congrats on 1st across the board, amazing results!

Thank you so much for your detailed compliments, we both really appreciate it ❤️

Cool game, I really liked the pixel art on this one!

Really cool use of the limitation! The art fit really well with the cuber theme and I love the idea of being able to win multiple ways. Great work!

MacQuacky defeated! Cool game, enjoyed it once I realised there was a long press haha

I love games where getting better is the fun of it (Fighting Game player haha) so I take that as the highest compliment! Thanks :)

Very cool! Great use of the limitation, and I really liked the earlier puzzles. Reminded me of the Lights Out game I had when I was a kid!

Thanks!

Great impact on the rise and fall, nice one!

Thank you!

From the FAQ:

Yes, you can make any changes to the project or project page during the rating period, just make sure that the original version of the game can still be downloaded and it is clear that the game has been updated.

Ah I see! Good to know as I'd love to do a rhythm game some time 👍

Extremely cool game! The first time you see the perspective shift is really sick. No real criticism, well done!

Cool snake game! Like others said, the enemies take a bit too long to kill but overall a fun xp

Really cool, absolutely loved the aesthetic of the game! Was there an end objective or was it just go right and shoot buildings indefinitely?

Great use of the limitation, and really cool theming! The UI being the character holding up items is very cool too. Well done!

Thank you! I hope you eventually got into the swing of it (eh? eh??)

Thanks! I've there's a lot of control in how long you want to hold the jump for which helps a lot. Also you do have to take debuffs every once in a while in order to keep going, I wanted that level of difficulty! But maybe I overtuned it haha

Really nice use of both the theme and the limitation! Mashing space bar to fire bullets once you have pierce is a little too strong because of the bouncing bullets off the side. It's like when you go bowling at the rails are up; it's hard not to get at least a spare! Felt like that should have been an upgrade with a percentage change at most. Loved everything else!

Thanks!

Yes, but you should leave the original version available to play as a file on the game page so people can play the version you submitted originally

Love the name, love the mechanics, love the theming, love the limitation usage. Absolutely nailed it, well done!

This was so good, big fan! I wanna see the 72 hours version of this haha

OH, I didn't even realise it was you, genuinely! Complete coincidence haha

I'm glad someone did a literal "one button, two functions" take on the limitation! I was thinking about something like that but went with one input button instead. Very hard game but loved the art on the frog. Great first submission!

Cool game! It's an interesting use of the limitation, I think if you forced the player to dash to reload rather than doing it automatically it would make it a bit more interesting. Well done though

This is awesome! Just going back over recent mini-jam winners and came across this gem. Well made!

Apologies if the visuals were a bit much. Hope the gameplay made up for it haha

No idea Pewdiepie used this music tbh, just liked the vibe of it haha

Thanks!

Praise be to Rex <3

Yeah the clarity of the platforms could definitely be improved, but I ran out of time haha. Thanks for the kind words!
