Use of the limitation
We made the whole game just one overworld for the player to explore. We also made it in real time with no room switching which basically makes one big level.

As the others already pointed out the title screen absolutely has to be skippable. Especially since your game is quite difficult, and while dying a lot to a game can work the title breaks the flow a lot. I love the 8-bit look and feel of the game (I don't know if intentional or not but i think the difficulty also fits quite well with other NES games). I have one bug to point out and that is that when enemies try to pathfind to the player, and end up hitting a wall, they get stuck forever. If you were to fix these, and maybe make the frog ninja just slower, instead of coming to a dead stop when using the sword i think you might have a great retro style game on your hands. The problems do sadly kinda kill the experience a bit tho.
I think I'm not alone in saying that that intro text absolutely has to be skippable. The player will die a lot when trying to figure out the controls and having them sit through 10s of text each time is guaranteed to turn people off - I couldn't really get into the game because of that simple mistake.
Looks and sounds very nice once in the game :P
Good job on the submission! I wanted to try playing this game some more but with only one life, a stubby attack and having to sit through that wall of text when the game starts I was only able to give it 2 or 3 shots. Even a quick restart rather than kicking the player out to the titlescreen when they die would be much appreciated.
