Ok so -> super super super cool idea. Having 30 ghost running around and each causing 1 HP of damage to relevant enemies or solving puzzles is very cool.

I did struggle a bit with the controls. I think the enemies were very quick to respond and I didn't really have time to get there in time. So out of 5 loops I would only get 1 hit in.

But then the payoff is that you build up this little army that does a bunch of work for you. It looks cool and chaotic :-)

Cool concept. Couldn't really understand how to use my copies to kill the slime, but they were pretty useful at the end boss!

Next time I highly suggest to add sound, you already show that you can react on attacks by making the enemies "jump", but adding some sound would bump up the juice a lot!

Nice game!

This is a pretty good game! My favourite bit is the fact that I could use my remnants to fight tougher enemies.. That part of the "my ghosts & I" gameplay is not seen as frequently as the puzzle-solving aspect of it and that felt really unique.

Some feedback:

  • I think it was during the first level where I realized how long each restart takes because if you die you have to follow your ghosts all the way to the moment of your death basically (and very patiently haha) to continue. After a few attempts I just tried my best not to die so that I could complete it in one go (and I did, rolling is quite effective so you can attack enemies and not die). Maybe you could split one level in several sub-sections so that after dying you respawn closer or have levels "branch" so that while one set of ghosts attempts to complete objectives in one section of the level, you can diversify your experience a bit more and go to a different section of the level. Completion of the level becomes asynchronous in that case which is kind of cool.
  • Not sure what happened with pressure plates, I tried pressing space bar, rolling, everything but I just keep dying and my ghosts aren't triggering them. I felt like my ghosts were supposed to "trip" the pressure plates so that I could walk over safely, but they just disappeared and the pressure plates remained armed.

Oh, this game is really good, but it doesn't really fit the theme.

Developer

yes we got a little bit to ambitious, but we tries to fit the theme by having your previous gameplay to always plays with you, we think this is a working implementation of the "Recursion"  as you always do the same actions on loop but go deeper in the dungeon every time

and we meet the limitation as entities are Mouse only :D

I hope you still enjoyed the experience tho <3

Developer

thanks you for having tested it :)

I dig the concept, but I couldn't seem to trigger the pressure plates using the spacebar as per the instructions.

Developer(+1)

yes I didn't had time to implement tutorial, to activate pressure plate you have to walk on them, so you need two ghosts to open the door for you

Nice. I'll give it another try!
