Team members
My name is Hai and I work solo on this game

Software used
Unity, Aseprite, GitHub,

Use of the limitation
I used "4 Colours" by linking each of the player's four actions to a specific color: Jump (Red), Dash (Cyan), Shoot (Yellow), and Turn (Green). The colors help players quickly read and plan their moves, making the 4-color theme part of both the visuals and gameplay. Moreover, everything else is grayscale, which complement the narrative

Cookies eaten
Hmm, let's say 12 choco cookies, 3 chocolate bars, 3 Redbull cans, 1 chip bag. They are pretty good so yea I don't usually count

Really unique game, and nice concept. Its a bit stress to calculate the movement, but really great one!

Thanks for stopping by!

Very unique and interesting gameplay, can't say I understood the lore though. I would have liked if I didn't have to press the button to use the last set of commands I did, and if I didn't have to manually reset most of the time, however. I also managed to complete the final level in two less moves than what was considered optimal.

Oh wow, great job man. Thanks for the feedback too, I'll take a look!

Really interesting concept and fun lore! Gameplay quickly becomes pretty difficult, but I enjoyed it.

Thanks for stopping by man!

I had lots of fun playing your game! The lore you added was also funny!
There are a few things that I believe you can improve. The transition between the panel and game is a bit buggy, sometimes the actions remain in the panel when they are not. I was expecting the space bar to also work in the panel and it would be nice if I could see the whole level at once when I'm planning my moves and executing them.
Despite that I have nothing else to add!
Great job and keep it up!

I'll try my best to solve these problems post-jam. Thanks for the feedback buddy!

When I pressed "space" it didn't work. But from what I was able to see, the concept is really cool and I love the idea of it, I'll have to try again to play it on a different computer as it may just be that the one I'm currently using is extremely slow. Nice job with this!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for checking it out! Hmm about the spacebar, have you closed the set up panel first? It could be that the set up panel was still open, and with that, spacebar is temporary deactivated. It's a bit unintuitive I believe ;)) Maybe I'll change it to a button to visualize it post-jam. Thanks for the feedback man!

Some solutions were pretty fun to watch play out -especially with jumping and shooting.  I needed a restart button though as sometimes I would get stuck after a failed run and have to start over from the beginning.  Anyway, had a lot of fun playing this -great job! :D

I enjoyed this puzzle game, I appreciate the solution button too lol. The lore section was great too XD felt called out

One thing I would've liked is to be able to enter moves from a UI control or perhaps put the moves keybind in the moves screen because needing to remember which keybind is which was a little disengaging ;v; also wished the moves screen was the same as the execute screen because I kept pressing execute on the moves tab.

Overall good job

Thanks for the feedback and the suggestion buddy. Aight, I'll try to work more on the UXUI of the game

Fun game!! The only things I have feedback about:

  • The music sort of fades out and restarts instead of properly looping
  • the visuals are a bit basic

Otherwise this is a really fun and great game! It reminds me a bit of boxboy, but more strategic. I love how you did the 4 colour limitation too, with the player’s actions being colour coded to 4 colours

Thanks for playing man. Hmmm, I think the audio could an error in Unity when you export it as a HTML5 game. I'll take a look!

This is a very enjoyable puzzle game. I got stuck on a later level for close to 20 minutes, very engaging. The only feedback I can provide is perhaps a way to visualize the commands as they are entered, or your previous sequence, so that you can adjust more easily, especially in later levels.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback man, I'll look into that!

Nice game! I like the premise, combining action platformer with instruction-based controls. I was a bit confused at first, even with the keybinds explained it took a bit of fiddling around to figure out how the game fully works. I think with a little bit more time to polish the user experience a bit, this game has potential! The in-game lore cutscene was.. abstract, but I enjoyed watching it nonetheless. As I said earlier the only thing I'd change is the user experience and try to make it a little easier to iterate on your solutions. (restarting the level automatically if you didn't reach the goal, keep your current inputs when restarting, etc.) Doesn't really fit with the 'calculations' theme but I like the interpretation of the 4 colors limitation.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback man, your suggestions are on point! And yes, if I have time, I'll definitely rework the UX.

I love the game soo much!! But I hope i don't need to press tab to see my moves.

Noted. Thanks for checking out the game!

I loved the game mechanics! It was really fun to play and it's super creative:]

This type of puzzle you did, it was really, really cool, congratulations!:D

Great job! Good luck on the jam!

Developer

Thanks man, glad u like it :)))

Really amazing concept! The gameplay loop is great and level designs were really good.

Developer

Thanks for the compliment man!

The concept is really interesting... But I think the controls are too complicated for what it is. Maybe if you could click and order the commands, and open the command map with a in-screen button

But I really liked it! It was fun and the lore is funny

Developer(+1)

I see. Thanks for playing man, I'll try to implement that

Very interesting mechanics.I would work on the graphics, but the idea is very good.

Thanks buddy

That was really cool! I wasn't smart enough to finish the game (I gave up on the level with a small falling area with spikes and platforms on both side ). I also hate that I understood the lore.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing man!

...and yes, the lore is touching fr...
