Wow. I got nothing else to say, this is amazing. The only thing I can think of is making the rooms' doors more explicit, something is was only the edge of the screen, and in some cases it is another room and in some other it is walls. 10/10 would slash through 'em enemies again.

I really liked the concept and the art is really great. The movement feels good until i got a really annoying bug that force movement to the right,  but for some reason it only happened while using joystick. Other than that it is a great game and i would like to see more of it!

Developer

Thank you for your feedback! We are indeed aware of that bug and we will push a patch when the jam is over.

Excellent game! I really enjoyed the difficulty of the boss. I think he was spot on with visual queues and all. Art is excellent. Combat was really fun especially with the boss you guys designed!

Thank you for playing the game and for the feedback! We barely had time to playtest, the first room was supposed to be the easiest and it ended up being one of the hardest!

The graphics were especially pretty on this one. I feel like they really fit the overall aesthetic. The upgrade buying was a neat mechanic, and that last boss was fun to fight. I can tell this can grow to be a very cool metroidvania.

Haha thanks a lot! It makes some of us want to go further in the dev. : )

The graphics were beautiful and I really enjoyed the fact that even if I died I didn't lose much and I could still level up. It made the beginning a little painful to get through, but I was wanting more by the end. Great job!

Developer

Thanks a lot : ) I'm glad you like it, and yeah, it ease a little bit the "die and retry" par x)

In all honesty, I think simply making the starting health just a tad higher will make the beginning much more bearable.

I can totally see how you may be trying to let the player feel the challenge up front so they are more dedicated to beat it. If that's your direction, the leveling system really makes that possible and actually compliments the idea  of building your character up really well. I wouldn't even mind fighting a mini-boss near the beginning to try and build exp. After finally beating him I would feel great and wonder what the game has to offer.

Really cool game, here are my feedback on it:

+ The universe is beautiful, it reminded me a lot of Sundered

+ The music is really good, it goes the same for the feedback sounds

+/- The character controls well most of the time! I noticed sometimes that I made an extra move, or there is an extra jump, whereas I released the left joystick/A button, I think that it is maybe a bug, like an input lag.

- For me, it misses some feedback on the player and the enemies, when they get hit, indeed, sometimes I didn't know if I hit the opponent, or if I was hit. So, I think that a little animation and/or a push on the player/enemy will definitely improve the feeling of the fight system.

Overall: Very nice work!

Hey, thanks for your feedback! Indeed, it miss some feedbacks for player and enemies.  We didn't had the time to implement them, but it will be corrected in the future. : )

Wow so fun!! Didn't want the game to end!

This game was a lot of fun to play, visuals and audio were the heavy hitters here. Falling felt a little float-y and no visual indicator as to when I got hit. Other peeps I've shown this game too are having fun, great job!

WOW! This game is simply fantastic, the graphics are magnificent, the gameplay is truly fluid and the leveling system really made things enjoyable!

I wish it lasted longer! I wanted to keep killing enemies!

All of this in just one month, you really have a lot of talent! 11/10

Yay, I beat it! Awesome artwork, the leveling system was fun to play with and there was a nice variety of enemies. You guys did great!

Very impressed with what you've managed to achieve here in a month. The graphics are amazing, and so is the gameplay - combat feels fluid yet tight. Add in a few more moves and it would be on par with Muramasa: The Demon Blade. The boss did take a few more hits than I'd have liked, but as it is the end of the game I understand why it was made that way. If you're looking for any suggestions, I'd say you could allow the character to have a few extra swings mid air before landing again. Maybe even an air dash. Both could be locked behind power ups if you feel they're too OP.
