Reminds me a lot of Metroid xD Great atmosphere at the space station, and the graphics and music are neat. Would surely like it to become a full game. Great job!

I really enjoyed the overall mood and some little details you add in (the reflect in the glass for example). The boss is a bit hard because there are no way to heal before him (since there are enemies awaiting for ya in the previous room), but there are some cool content! I would have love keeping playing a little more after getting the upgrade ^^
The metroid vibe is real!
You completely nailed the atmosphere of the game, it matches perfectly with your theme. I was surprise to see the spaceship going to another planet after that first boss! Lot's of content for 1 month of work!
You did a really great job!
First, it looks great! Second, you have reflections in one part and was like "wow!" thats a nice touch of polish!
The combat is a bit clunky and the hit box is a bit hard to read. The AI surprised me when one of the jumped when i thought i had tricked it to fall.
Really liked the game, good job!
This was really cool. There's a pretty nice level of polish around the game, including nice atmospheric music, animations, and easy to read character designs. I think the gameplay itself could use some work, though. The sword combat feels clunky, and it makes me feel discouraged when i try to do more "dynamic" moves, like jump and attacking. I'm not sure if this is how it's designed, but I found if I didn't jump attack, killing the boss was much harder, but from experimenting with jump attacking, I didn't really want to do it.
Overall, though, really liked the game. Really appreciate the music, and the character designs.
The game really gave me a Metroid Fusion vibe, and that was one of my favorite Metroid games. The graphics were simple, but aesthetically pleasing and had a nice, uniform theme to it. The music REALLY went well with the environments, I was really sucked in thanks to that.
However my immersion was broken due to the combat. It felt really clunky to me due to it being melee only and as soon as you attacked, your horizontal movement froze. The hitboxes were also deceptively large. Sometimes I would clip an enemy without my character actually touched them. I also didn't even try to attack the bosses missiles at first since they moved fast and I felt like my range was short. Another thing was that the enemies didn't feel rewarding to kill because they didn't drop any items or restored your HP.
BUT, with all that said. The atmosphere was extremely nice. I'm not exaggerating when I say that the space station felt like I was actually playing Metroid while I was exploring. And I'm not going to spoil it for anyone else, but, I thought killing the boss was gonna be it. Game over. But I was really taken aback by the area afterwards. Was not expecting that at all. Great job!
First off, thanks for playing!
About the combat - I was going for a more castlevania style, but it probably didn't work as well as I'd hoped due to the lack of weapon choice. I'd actually put a lot of effort into an evasive dash move, but unfortunately I ran out of time to code in the area where you would find that powerup. I'm really happy you enjoyed the atmosphere of the game - Thanks for the comparison to Metroid /Metroid Fusion!
I also agree that the hitboxes are too big, I'll have to fine tune them slightly.
