Nice game! I liked the concept and it was well implemented.

Developer

Thank you!

Not being able to grow was a great design choice, Gotta think ahead! I could have hoped for some collectibles to get during the game to boost score but I loved trying to stay large as long as possible!

Developer

Thank you! There were so many things that I wanted to add (including collectibles), and I couldn't add any of them. Darn.

I really like the use of the topic! Making changing size a one way process, as well as tying score to it is very interesting. It could use some audio of some sort, the hitbox for the player seems quite big, and the momentum is a bit odd, at least in my opinion. This could use a little work, but is a fun little game overall. Nice job!

Developer

Time constraints. They always suck.

Well, thanks for playing! :)

Yeah, they can really put a damper on your vision. Well, you did good with the time you had at least!

Great concept!

Thanks!

I couldn't tell if me getting smaller had any effect, I think it affected how much my score incremented? Simple game but I found it a little challenging. Fun though!

Developer

Getting smaller decreases your score increment, but it should make it easier to dodge the enemies. Thanks for playing, and I'm glad you had fun!

The game is really challenging and entertaining! I think the collision range from the bigest Blob (or from the obstacles?) is surpassing a little the sprite size.

Developer

Eek! I’ll have to look at that after the jam. Thanks for playing my game!

Very clever use of the highscore as an incentive for playing harder

Developer

Thank you! I really tried to balance the game as much as I could!

It works nice! Maybe some sounds for a next update and adding more scaling actions would be great!

Great Game :D

Great Game :D

Developer

Yeah, I wasn’t quite able to add sounds, and I probably will after the jam. Could you be a little more specific about “scaling actions”? I don’t get what you mean.

Thanks for playing!

I like that you can set your own handicap for this game, it adds another layer of strategy. I do think there should be another caveat for shrinking though, such as the smaller you are, the more enemies that spawn. The other thing I would change is to remove the ramp-up speed when you move, it would make controlling the character feel better. Great game overall!

Developer

I’ll probably add those once the game jam is over. Thanks for playing!

This is a very unique idea!

Thank you!

I like the idea of not being too greedy ! :) First I was thinking "alright I can just go very small and stay in a corner", but it does not work haha

Developer(+1)

I tried as hard as possible to keep it from being too easy. You have to find the right balance of size and position :D

Really interesting idea (that you can set your own handicap). Nice. Would love a bit more development on the art, plus of course some sound. Keep it up!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Sadly, I'm not an art person, and I'm less of a music person. Once I get better, I might add better art and some music.

Good game buddy. I first thought that the red circles are coronavirus lol :D

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thanks! I was going for generic spiked circles, but now that I think of it, they really seem like some sort of virus :)
