Can you add visuals with description? The small description for every interaction will be very helpful.
cool planning game XD
I really liked the variations of moves you can used in the game
Shout and Listen command can make the planning became easier too XD
Thanks for playing!
Really liked the audio use and visuals for this game!
Thanks!
I unfortunately couldn't figure this game out. I could tell that I could place all of my "actions", but it seemed like I should be able to watch the little goblin play it out, but I just couldn't figure that part out. Hopefully I'm just doing something goofy. Really like the idea though. If I'm doing something dumb, please let me know, because I would love to give this another go.
Oh man, I just realized I never stated anywhere that you have to press SPACE to start the simulation🤦
Hey, we did the same thing with our "loading screen" at the beginning of our game (you need to press "Enter", but we don't explicitly say that), so no sweat! Anyway, I tried it again, and it works! It's a ton of fun trying to plan out your path. Awesome job!
Definitely continue this concept; it's really cool! The foundations of a really great game are there, and you clearly put a lot of time and effort into it. The sound effects gave it a lot of charm. A few things didn't seem to work as expected at times (R didn't restart the level, for me, for example), but it's a 72-hour game jam, so it's to be expected :).
Thanks a lot for your kind words! Yes, I did leave a lot on the plate in terms of usability. Nothing is really explained so you really need to play around to figure it out, not ideal. I just tested it and R does work for me, but it just resets all entities to the starting position while keeping the issued commands in there, a quick way to reset, modify things and try again. It doesn't outright restart the level.
I just tried it again, and it didn't reset anything etc on my computer. I am on Linux, though. So, let's face it, it's probably a Linux thing haha.
That's so weird. I'm tempted to install a distro just to test it haha.
It took me minutes to understand how to play this game and yet I am still uncertain. I couldn't get some features to work sometimes and sometimes the same setup yield different results.
However, this game concept is very interesting. Even if this game didn't execute the concept finely.
Oh that's unfortunate. Is there anything in particular that didn't work? I focused too much on features and overscoped quite a bit, so I ran out of time for quality control, which shows.
Thanks for the comment!
Cool concept, Very fun to play! Took a while to understand the control and get used to the timing but it was probably me. :P
Really nice mechanics overall!
Thanks! I unfortunately spent a lot of time on mechanics and not enough on improving usability, so the control scheme is not super well thought out (or documented)
I love strategy games and stuff that needs planning. This feels easy to understand but challenging to execute. Kudos for creating the puzzling levels!
Love the sfx, mumbles and grunts that add to the mood. Was just imagining how you'd be able to do much more with audio for things like mood music and win/lose conditions... having only 10 days is a real challenge.
Congrats on your game release!
Thanks! Honestly sound and level design were left for last, so I'm happy I was able to get something passable together haha
was looking forward to this since your video, its very cool.
could not for the life of me figure out how to change the plan though, delete/backspace didn't seem to do anything
Thanks! That means a lot!
To delete commands you first need to deselect your goblin if they're selected, then left click on a command (which also lets you move it / change its value) and then you can delete it. Not very obvious in retrospect.
Turns out you have to have a good sense of time if you want to sneak behind guards' backs. :P
I have to say that some of the earlier levels are way harden than I anticipated, but that's what I get for leaving level design for the last possible moment haha
Very fun! I enjoyed this one quite a lot, it's an interesting idea and I think it's worked out very well :3, only played the first couple levels bc I want to get through a lot today, but of what I did play it was very good :3
Thanks! I was worried I didn't have enough content, but with so many games I've also found that I can't really get through the entire thing
