idk how I forgot to mention for this long but the player sprite is from this https://zegley.itch.io/2d-platformermetroidvania-asset-pac

Thank you!

Yeah :pensive:
Ik I prob should have added a 'count another click after [x] time' thing (like pico-8 has ig) but i ended up not having enough time to implement it + I got so used to just spamming the arrow keys it stopped being an issue for me  . I'll try to remember not to put it off now the jam's over :3

Have seen some people a bit confused by how to beat it so here's how to beat it (only use this if you're stuck though)

1)  Place a block at the bottom of the unjumpable wall, to the bottom left of the lowest gradiented block.
2) press ';' then 'r', noticing which tile moves upon pressing 'r', put a block underneath said tile (gradient tiles are sand, sand falls as many blocks as it can until it hits something)
3) Notice how it's currently impossible to get through, go to the y line of the map which prevents you from going through, press 'v' and while pressing v press the right arrow)
4) Like the previous one, however here you need to find the right y *and* x. find the tile in which you can access both the row and collumn, then press and hold the v key, along with the up then right arrow to solve it
5) The first of the 'harder' puzzles, for this one move to the air tile to the bottom left of the blue thing, and v+up arrow, then go up one row and v+right arrow. if vortexes are in any way changed you instantly leave the map editor.
6) No hint for this one

...fuck the end screen has a typo T-T

Glad you enjoyed it! I was worried the puzzles were too easy

I will try add a couple harder (platformer-wise) rooms post jam :3 though I also feel like with the movement as it is, making properly challenging gameplay will be hard :p, maybe I could celetestify lol

For the second puzzle, reset the map then place a block below the (now back in it's original position) sand tile :3

press 'v' then while holding it press an arrow key :3 (sorry, will prob change the tutorial message post-jam lol)

Very fun! I enjoyed this one quite a lot, it's an interesting idea and I think it's worked out very well :3, only played the first couple levels bc I want to get through a lot today, but of what I did play it was very good :3

Prob one of the best games in the jam :3

10/10 in everything :3

Gameplay's ok but it doesn't really fit 'plan' and can be a bit awkward to learn, graphics fit, same goes for audio, mood is nice. overall 3.5/5

seems interesting but I can't see the majority of the screen

decently fun little game, It took me abt 5 minutes, so I still didn't entirely understand the game when i'd won lol. graphics and music's great, mood is nice, it does give good medieval vibes, gameplay is it's shortcoming I think, it would have benefitted from a tutorial and having more to do.
Overall, decent job, well done!

not made in love

snek :3

huh, what caused it to crash?

Thanks! I'm quite proud of that lil guy :3
for now that's pretty much the end, I'll either put an npc or an object there when i'm done fixing the collision errors :3

If you're talking about running the game, download love2d and then run it as you would any executable. there was supposed to be a web build but the love.js program supports 11.2 whereas I made this in 11.3

left and right to move, z to dash x to attack c to jump, try to get Into the g shaped area, due to some of the basics taking significantly longer than I expected, that's all there is.
