Rad sprite-work, controls are tight -- all it needs is more stuff.

Very impressive game , the mood is awesome and dark , the gameplay is very interesting , but for me it clearly lack something , I mean , there's no end , no score , no chrono , no best score , you don't have any way to know  if you're good or not , a simple timer would have been great.

Developer

Very true. Not getting a proper closure in a game is one of the worst ways to end it, which in this case we had to go for due to time frame.

a very cool game, the sprites are just awesome, especially the stones and the red eyes. The writing is cheesy in the best possible way - it's first class parmigiana reggiano cheese. Also, the idea was really clever and the music sounds nice. Generally coolness :D

Developer

I like cheese :D Thank you!

Interesting mechanics and cool game overall.

Very nice animations, art and sound design. It would have been nice if the difficulty ramped up though, I never really had to worry about the slow speed of dragging the sword since I was killing the enemies fast enough anyway.
The writing was also nice, it really added to the mood. One thing that was missing though was an explanation as to why this guy has a sword that gets more powerful when he drags it along the ground. That's pretty weird, it would have been nice to have some explanation of the reason behind that.

Developer

At first I had a longer story explaining that but I didn't want to get the player bored with a wall of text. And the issue of time frame as a game jam classic :0)

graphically and aurally awesome, why not make it a belt brawler with a lot of locations to go through?

EDIT/: grinding the sword feels AWESOME

Developer

There is another game project on the work right now i don't think I will be able to spend much time on this one but maybe later, who knows.

It's a very impressive game, I love the art.

Developer

Thank you VividReality, loved your game too but could not get passed the purple jelly :D

Each enemy in my game has a weakness, the purple guy is mist, so you use wind on it.

There is so much to like about this game, the transitions are nice, the art looks really cool with the sparks and the sword swing tracer. The music is also very nice as well.

Does the game ever end other than if you lose? I played it for a while to see what would happen but it seemed to be endless.

Developer

There is no other end than losing :0) That was just to save time from preparing a win condition and screen.
