Do buy one of those handhelds they are very very cool :) Loved the video!

Wish I could heart react!

Updated the description to include key mapping for windows,

Updated the description to include disclaimer that the APK version is for handhelds.

the apk is for android based handhelds,
if you dont have an android based handheld, then you would need a controller, yes.
the windows version works

i love it, such great artwork
actually, one of the things in games thats hard to make fun is travel but you nailed it
this is quite engaging

thank you, noted. i was feature creeping honestly. added three paths you can follow in terms of quest lines. last path i added was through the second option, the rootenabled blueberry, which will bring you to the anti-bigtech ending. when i got that done there was 5 minutes left before deadline so had to upload it, i think in meanwhile maybe the original path (helping big tech) got broken. thanks for the feedback!
im taking a little break right now from coding but i will do a post-jam version in the coming days :)

oof im so sorry , should be public now?

so the experience has manifested
may judgement come to those who need it the most

lovely game, great use of limitation. art is lovely, perks are helpful! good job.

The game is really good, awesome art style. I loved how the limitation was used. It really is a lovely game.

very cool game, very silly i love it. the controls are good, and it feels well balanced.

very cute game!

Loved the art style, its a very cute game. Could maybe have done with one or two more mechanics, but I understand the time pressure when you need to draw everything yourself. It's impressive!

Good puzzles! Some are a bit hard for me to figure out.

Good use of limitation!

Thanks :)

Thank you so much!

I am happy to hear you enjoyed it, sorry for that last coin. The Void is meant to be annoying but not too much, hopefully you didn't mind the joke. Thanks for your feedback!

The last coin is what everyone struggles with, and we too regret that decision!

We had in mind to make more puzzles and zoom elements, however, we had too many plans and we got in trouble with the deadline. We had to make the decision to put all items right there available in the rooms. Thank you for your feedback, I am happy to hear you enjoyed it.

The one coin in room 9 is the one everyone struggles with, and it was a bit annoying choice, I agree. Otherwise I am happy to hear you enjoyed it.

Thanks!

you can play the .love file if you install Love2D https://love2d.org/

But I understand if that is too much of a hassle!

That's a very cool concept. Interesting to have the monsters in the same deck as your items and action cards. This looks like a cool solo game to play as a real tabletop game.

That's a really cool game. The art is really nice. I couldn't play for long because I am terrified of jumpscares/horror. But that only means that the mood is caught really well. Good job.

Thank you so much! The whole point of the void is to make you sit through the elevator again :) it's not really a mechanic just supposed to be mildly infuriating.

If you like it that much I wouldn't mind spending some time on it to polish it, even story mode I wouldn't mind fleshing out some more. It just makes me happy to see someone who likes it.

Wow, I didn't think I'd hear anything about this prototype, it has been years since I touched it and kind of forgot about it. I think if I wanted to make it into an actual game I'd have to rewrite it from scratch. However, seeing your review does make me feel there might be more to the concept than I thought at first. I really like the spell ideas your have, and I think I have a lot more problems with the current state of the game than you do. Like we were planning to make a story mode for the game which is unfinished right now. Your review inspires me to take another consideration of the concept and maybe make an actual game from this prototype. Thank you!

Done!

Yes, I am planning on doing this ASAP.

Ahh, apologies, I uploaded yesterday right before I went to bed and forgot to write down instruction. I am also kinda used to everyone having love2d installed in my circles, however, here you go https://love2d.org/

Actually ok I will

yeah I know. I had an idea and stuck with it. But it isnt my best jam. Well what can you do. Next time will be better :).

thanks :) yeah the textures are a bit large. there are many things I would have changed in hindsight. it is the same technique as wolfenstein 3D yes.

thanks :) the effect is done with raycasting. https://lodev.org/cgtutor/raycasting.html
