That was super impressive! I'm always a sucker for an RPG. Thoroughly enjoyed the shopkeeper dialogue, that when you get hit you turn into a ghost for a second, breaking barrels felt satisfying, and the movement animation was pretty adorable.
I did run into a few bugs though:
Despite the bugs, this was fun to play. Great work!
Very nice and polished game. Good choice of assets. Unbelievable it is done in two days.
Congratulations
This game changed my life!
This RPG goblin-killing adventure has left me astounded. Not only did it boost my confidence by seemingly curing my hair loss, but it also rekindled the spark in my marriage. Beyond that, the skills I gained while playing led to a promotion at work. It's a transformative journey that I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone seeking an unforgettable gaming experience.
Glad you enjoyed it! have a happy marriage!
I'm loving this! I'm at level 3 and so far it seems endless, so I had to stop for a minute and comment before I can continue playing. If I had to complain about something, I'd say the drop rate for hearts/coins seems biased towards the hearts. But don't mind me, I'm just minimaxing my stealth run!
On my first try the path out of the first room was blocked by the raised areas so I was very confused. I restarted and the next load was fine. Like others have said the controls felt off and I never got to the point where they felt comfortable. Lots to admire here. More juice needed in the combat. I liked it generally
The best part of this was the shopkeeper dialogue lol
I found the controls a little difficult to work with. The player didn't seem to move the way I expected with WASD, and I struggled with the middle mouse roll since it kept putting my browser into scroll-the-screen mode (even when fullscreen) and un-focusing the game. I'd really appreciate a rebind for that one!
I kind of played the game in a semi-stealth fashion and snuck up behind the enemies to strike them which mostly worked well! I'm not sure if I was supposed to be able to open the chests, but I never figured out the one at the start if so.
And you said you didn't have time to add it, but I would love to see some music and sfx added to this :)
Nice game with explore gameplay, but I hope the moving direction could align to character not camera. And I found out that attack times follow my speed of taping mouse which not consistent with animation. Well done in 48 hours.
Nice concept, I really like how you highlight the Character, even if it's hidden by the wall.
thank you! its the small details that matter 😉
Great game! Like you said, it’s really impressive how many people are creative with the same set of assets. A really good game!
Really nice game, with a great concept! Only issue with it is the controls are a little buggy, other than that it was great! Love the shopkeepers dialogue lol
thank you!
the dialogue does not represent my views by the way, I by no means have a fursona or whatever, promise :)
Nice game, the camera is a bit fuzzy when moving, i really like the assets you chose. Great entry
Good approach to the jam! I like the dungeons and the game feels fun. Doubt the mini map would be needed, though.
thanks! when you enter the portal the dungeon gets bigger and I thought a minimap would help clarify the branching of rooms, but yeah its pretty useless now that I try to use it xD
thanks for the feedback and I will surely consider reworking it, perhaps adding a compass to the portals direction, or should I perhaps keep the sense of mystery?
It's a really interesting approach, the only downside we noticed was that when the character dies, the game doesn't allow us to play it again inmediately and we needed to restart the page manually. Other than that, it feels really polished and cool!
thanks for the kind words! yeah about that I forgot to add a restart UI :)
again time constraints and stress, I should have made priorities but I will surely fix soon, thank you for your support!
An interesting sense of humor, but a polished game. My biggest gripe is that the dungeon seems to be able to be blocked off by an ill-spawned pillar. It has a good game play loop otherwise.
thanks a lot! Unfortunately I missed this obviously glaring mistake with no time to fix, I will smooth everything over asap and hopefully the game reaches its full potential!
Wow, really nice. Saw your comments about audio, and yeah, would've been nice. But the rest is outstanding.
Really cool game! Loved the rolling animation😅
Really nice use of the assets and love the inclusion of a mini map.
Cute dialogue humour from the shopkeeper too :)
Would love to have seen how music and sound effects could elevate it.
Thank you so much! I will surely work on it more and helpfully music will bring it to life!
appreciate the feedback!
Nice game, but procedural generation could use some work, as it stopped me from progressing twice by generating a closed corridor
thank you!
yeah that was a big problem that I really missed when making this, valve pls fix
Nicely done! I like the coherent feel and the level layouts were fun to explore. This is more a 'me problem' than a game problem but I wish you could roll with space. I'm away from my desktop this week so I played on a laptop without a mouse plugged in, and the middle mouse is always tricky on the track pad. But that's not any fault of yours, just the equipment I brought with me. Overall, solid game!
glad you enjoyed it! I'm sorry you had a problem, I should have clarified that there is keyboard controls too!
as people who played my past games complained from my keyboard only controls i decided to add mouse too , but you can still use the J, K, and L key respectively to Shield, Attack and roll! hope that helps!
Love the rolling animation! does the dungeon actually procedurally generated?
Anyway very solid submission!
Thank you! yes it is procedurally generated! took too much time and still came out buggy xD
