albeit confusing a first, a hidden gem!
excellent choice of assets and great mixing! visually the game looks so homogeneous and perfect!

such stellar features for such a short timeframe! I adore the Zelda feel in this!

adherent to the theme! 10/10 would bomb again!

Developer

Thank you so much! Having this compared to Zelda is a huge compliment. I’m glad you enjoyed the wizardly explosions.

Took me a while to understand the wand mechanics, maybe not allowing to fire while having no wood could be a good feedback.

Nice and simple concept, pretty fun to build bridges and explore the map freely!

Best spaceshipcastle ever ;)

Nice juicy animations, and I like your selection for visual style!

Really well made game! Loved it!

I really liked the idea of destroying the environment to find resources and build a path in the world, very cool game and nice visuals!

Hands down the best game I've played so far! I had that lovely "Ha ha!" discovering the staff power.
And I openly laughed at the final :'D totally wasn't expecting this quality

Developer

That makes me so happy that the ending was a fun surprise! I’m really glad that you enjoyed. :)

Very well done! it looks nice!

Really well made, it was satisfying to blow trees up for resources. Maybe a bit frustrating having to go back to get a bomb but the player movement is quite fast so it's not really a problem. Good use of the assets!

Submitted(+1)

Player movement is very satisfying :D

i didn't know what to do though at the first level i just took the bomb and took the wizard weapon that shoots, but i didn't know what should i do exactly >.<

a lil tutorial would help at the beginning :3

overall, well made !

I like the bomb and the idea, and destroy the enviroment >:D, it feels soo good.

But, it turns a little bit monotonous.

Yeah this one works well!

The use of controls in the world was very strong, and the single item slot was handled well. Choice and implementation of sprites was great too (I love the wobbles!)

Control wise I don't like left click to shoot since it makes me think I'm using the mouse to aim;
I'd rather have it on space and have a little arrow showing my current aim direction.

I like that the respawns times were cumulative, since it dissuaded staying in one plays and spamming without making the game a 'find every last object and hope you don't miss your bombs' type thing. I think the respawns got faster when they were left alone too? If so that was a nice touch, if it was a bug make it not a bug.

It might be cool to expand on that by having different tools have different respawn multipliers; a bomb gets a lot of resource quickly but an axe lets felled trees respawn faster, that sorta thing. Maybe another wand that turns rocks into trees if you wanna keep on the chaotic magic mindset.

Overall, though, still a fantastic jam game. Great work!

Hahaha the spawners getting faster was a bug that stopped other worse bugs. I’m glad that it proved good for gameplay though!

Having different tools with different respawn multipliers is actually a really good idea, same with a wand of transmutation! I’m not sure if I am going to continue work on this project but I really like the input.

Also, I do wish that I had made the shoot/throwing mechanics based on the mouse / right joystick inputs. I tried to originally and compromised during development. Having an arrow show the direction of fire would have been very handy.

Thank you so much for the in-depth feedback!

This was awesome. It kept me focused and involved the whole time. I liked the ending. Simple neat and fun. Great work.

Thank you so much, I’m glad this was a fun game. :)

Love the concept! Fit the theme very well and was really fun to mess around with. Fantastic job!

Really like this idea! Found it just the right amount of tricky. Would love to see an expanded version of the same concept. I had a couple of issues with it not placing a block directly in front of me, and it making a path next to the one I built when trying to fill in a square or two, so maybe some snapping logic might help the player experience.

I can see the future with that Bomber Wizard, love the ideia!
If you make some sandbox system that game is gonna be a master pierce!

Great game, great ending, great sound, i was enjoying the game. Found one minor problem, if you'll stay too close to tree, when you use bomb it will be launched through tree. Same with rod of road(or how do you call it?). But that's not ruining game, it's still very polished and awesome game.

Satisfying to bomb stuff away. 5/5!

Not bad!! I like the concept and the equip/drop mechanic.
