This as a really neat idea and beautiful/calm, I thought the assets you picked and the music perfectly fit the poignancy of your story. I have to say I found it a little frustrating that there were not better clues or visual cues to help you find the memories you're looking for--I ended up just having to wander around at random. Which is definitely exploration, but the dream energy seems to run out so fast that I got tired of trying to find the last story point for the first character and just gave up. But other than that, I really think this is a beautiful and clever game, and a real accomplishment for 48 hrs.
Many thanks for the comment! The time constraint prevented us from adding as many visual cues as we would have liked (some of them were even designed, but they weren't included in the finished build). We are excited to add that in further versions after the Game Jam! Again, thank you for your input!
I understand the time crunch, believe me. ;) Definitely do add them, I'd love to see this game developed further.
Good job guys!
Thanks a lot for your comment!
Interesting to have a story tied to your exploration. Very good entry!
Thanks for the comment! Glad you appreciated the way we handled the jam's topic by incorporating some narrative into the exploration :)
Great story and quest system! Not only that, the fact you have two characters with stories and a world that is explorable really drives the theme.
A big thank you! We're happy you enjoyed it! We initially intended to create three distinct stories, but since two days weren't enough, we had to scale back, haha!
Nice stories and humour. Interesting contrast between the two narratives. Theme fits perfectly. A pleasant break from all the fighting games.
Thanks for your comment! We are glad the stories were interesting to you :)
I love that you were able to do two stories with the same concept! Great spin on exploration
A big thank you! We had three storylines planned, but we had to narrow the focus. We're glad the game's premise appealed to you :)
This is a very nice and interesting game. Even if they gave me the answer at the end I still tried to solve the mystery! And also the game doesn't have any issues (From what I can see). Great job team!
Thanks a lot! We're so glad that you find the concept interesting! :)
The music sets the tone great, got all the items on the list. Very fun and clever game
Thanks a lot! Wow, 100% of the objectives! If we would have achievements, you would have completed all of them :)
One of my favorite games yet. Great story and an idea behind it, a perfect fit to the theme.
A big thank you! We like seeing people who find this concept appealing! :)
Good game.
Thanks a lot!
Lovely little narrative / exploration game! I love the contrast between the comedy and drama with the two different characters both were very enjoyable to explore!
Having the dream timer to reset the player but maintaining the completed objectives is a nice approach :]
I think I would maybe consider adding a sprint button just to explore a bit faster but otherwise pretty solid gameplay.
Hi! We are glad you liked it! If we polish it after the Game Jam, we definitely will consider the Sprint Button! If the game had achievements, based on the captures, you would have 100% of them, haha :)
Fun to play and explore around in the area and check the objectives <3
I think if you add pixel perfect to the game, it will help to make the game looks cooler :D
Overall, great job !
We're glad you liked the game! We will definitely polish this kind of things in the future! :D
The game has a nice dark and crepy atmosphere. It gave me a strange effect to see the black lines in the city street tile.
We wanted to make it like if the mini-adventures you go through are really dreams, we are glad you like the atmosphere! :)
