- Hey! I watched this be built live over the weekend. Super cool seeing it finished. The graphics look awesome and the general polish elements show that you know your stuff. I feel like the mechanics and the story weren't a great match, or at least weren't integrated in a way that made me appreciate the pairing. I also think we got a bit into spoiler territory in the game's bio, I would have preferred for less to be said and to have to figure it out myself. I bit clearer link to the theme would have been nice as well. Overall, a really strong technical entry that approaches meat boy / celeste level platforming game feel. And you only spent a weekend on it! Thanks for the entry, best of luck with future dev.

Short, sweet, and engaging platformer!
First off, the control is some of the best I've felt yet! The character is responsive and demonstrates incredibly tight air control, both while jumping and dashing. The feedback on every action is satisfying, and that's a difficult thing to achieve.
Visually, the pixel art for the environmental details stood out as being very well crafted, especially the "halls of the dead" aesthetic on the different types of platforms. The effects on dashes, explosions, and phasing platforms
Each new variation of the room ramped up the difficulty, but dying never felt unfair or due to the fault of the player. The final variation with destructible green and blue walls was my favorite of the bunch!
Excellent work!
Nice game!
I think your art looks really god and I also like that you had sound that helped to make the experience better. Furhermore I think that you made the game more interresting by having a variety of platforms and obsticles.
My only dificulty was the controlls as I would preffered to have the jump on space bar, rater than c, but this ofcorce is personal preferance, but overall really well made game :D
Ooo, I like the mechanics of the game. How you need to make way for the blue fireball thing. The music, art and gameplay is great. However, I don't feel like it's the same room it doesn't really match the theme. Still, this is a great game!
Phenomenal game!!! I think this should win the jam except the connection to the theme isn't great/clear. I wish maybe the platforms moved to become the new layout instead of being another room.
i only wish if there is WASD controls
Superb art my guy. Good job.
I absolutely love the art for this! The player character is super cute, having a cute player character that's memorable is such a good thing. I enjoyed the overall tone of the game and the way that the story of it unfolds.
Ok, that was a huge room! :) I really enjoyed the game. The platforming feels really good and you were able to build up the difficulty with the progress really well. Also all the little details and platforming mechanisms work so well together. The presentation of backstory is very atmospheric and I was truly surpriced how nicely you were able to get such thing into a platformer. Great job done. Perfect entry!
Whoah! There's something beautiful about a good snappy airdash. This is really, really good. Literally the only note I have is that it feels like a stretch of the theme. But it's a fantastic, well polished, clever little game.
well done, the controls feel pretty polished.
Very fun platformer. Mechanics were great, and the sound was just right! Great game!
My favourite dash button in the jam. In a while even. Good mechanics, good graphics, cool little experience!
Technical Excellence: The movement felt really good and I especially liked the dash! I do kinda wish there were some harder levels or a hard mode.
Aesthetic Flair: The sound and art were really good! It was cool how some of the platforms were invisible until you jump on them.
Immersion: It's cool how you got a story in three day jam!
Relevance: I don't really know how it fits...
Thanks for the feedback! It's supposed to fit by having the tile placement be the exact same in each room but the gameplay in each room is different. I should've communicated this a little better so that it was a little clearer!
Finished the game, Nice little Gem. Very well made!
The music was good, nice, and not annoying like some other game jams game (maybe mine included haha)
The pacing of difficulty was spot on, I really liked the level design here as it slowly ramped up and felt really rewarding near the end, that last little segment where you are dodging the downard blasts, while breaking the walls for the slow projectile was perfectly made, It was challenging without being frustrating, and instantly recognizable what i needed to do to complete it.
A little more visual acuity on the platforms would have been nice. It was a little tricky sometimes to recognize if i was jumping over wall dressing in the background or a platform was about to spawn beneath me.
The art style was great, i really liked all the assets you built, very well done.
Also the little story you had here, was a really nice touch, i liked that a lot.
all in all, very impressed! And of course if you have the time to play and rate my submission, i would appreciate that too!
Thanks for the really in-depth feedback! Unfortunately I can't rate your game since it only has a windows build and I have a mac :(
heyy yours was one of the ones i had my eye on while i was developping over the weekend! Really nice game impressive job with the art, i especially liked the lighting FX and the end screen. Also good job managing to include character progression and a simple story in such a short amount of time, the jumping felt good and i have no complaints! Really great job!
Not bad at all. Very well polished, I appreciate the bonus things.
In my game you also play a person that just died and must understand how XD Please take a look if you have time :)
(oh that's right, we can't rate yet... I'm putting your game in my to-rate playlist then)
