This was a lot of fun! what a great game!

I love the aesthetics and overall vibe, the mechanics are really solid too! I love how many bosses with unique mechanics there are, it was a lot of fun fighting them! The buff guy was my favorite :>

The only thing that bothered me is that the jump gravity is a lil too strong, so platforming gets quite challenging at time.

Great job!

Definitely a faster pace is needed in the game, the crossbow should've really had a higher fire-rate to really trade off its hefty price, so that change is coming after the jam.

Thank you for playing!

This was my first game in Godot, so I had quite the number of issues when it came to the physics system, so it was originally supposed to be affected by gravity but had to cancel it for the more important stuff.

Thank you for your kind words and for playing!!

You know, I never thought a mishmash of a billion different styles would ever work on a game and still look good and fun.

Well, it's safe to say that I was proven wrong today.

Hollllyyy what an amazing game, from characters to the shop progression to the diverse enemies and clever tutorial, really shows how much care went into this.

Seriously good job, 5/5

Thank you for you kind feedback!

I'm planning on adding more traps and enemies to the game and extend the game longer with more waves after the jam, I'll try my best to make it as good as possible.

Thank you for playing!!

I was making the waves half an hour before the deadline so I couldn't add much more in time (sorry!)

+ I'm only 1 guy, there is only me!

Learned it the hard way from my last jam that simple games with easy to understand mechanics are the best!!

Thank you for playing!

Thank you!

So sorry about the cross bow it will be buffed after the jam T-T

Combat music when the waves start is definitely on my TODO list.

Thank you so much for playing and for the feedback!

Banger game, not gonna lie, pretty much has everything you'd want from a puzzle game!

Let's go babyyyyy!!

Thank you for playing :D

Thank you for your feedback!

I 100% agree on the flying enemies, one of the things I wanted to add was flying enemies, it was to make spikes more independent and less powerful, and give a threat that walls can't protect from, but that required new traps to be added as well which I couldn't do in time. Maybe in the future though, who knows? ;)

Dynamic music sounds like a great idea! I'll definitely add it to the list!

Pretty cool arcady game!

I like that the tower attacks with me and doesn't just stay idle for me to defend, comes clutch in times!

Although I find the camera movement a bit nauseating as it moves in a very "unpredictable" way…

Also, I wished if there were some more upgrades to add a bit more depth to the game.

And one last thing, the leaderboard doesn't seem to be working for me, maybe it's because I'm using Firefox?

Never mind that, after reloading the page the leaderboard showed up (I'm fifth!)

Well done guys!

Thank you for playing!

The main problem with the pricing is the fact that it solely depends on your performance, I see it as a cursed game design problem, since waves are not random, the amount of money you get is fixed, which means that if for example, a wall you built breaks, you will probably rebuild it, but for another player it doesn't, so they have more money to invest into more expensive utility. This issue is clearer due to the fact that the game doesn't have that many waves, but an expanded version would probably have a smaller issue with the economy from this problem.

But still, I'm glad that you enjoyed the game and didn't face such issue :D

Pretty cool arcade game, I like the color changing and the fire at high rounds, although I'd wish the game progresses faster in the sense of reaching faster speeds quicker, although I have no idea how to implement that in a good way..

Very cool!

Very nice story telling, the atmosphere is very good as well, good job!

Thank you for your kind words!

Surprisingly, this jam has a very "tower-defense"-ish theme, so it was inevitable to see a lot of tower-defense games, and a lot of unique ones at that!

Thank you!

The shop stuff (specifically the crossbow) do have some pricing problems since I didn't spend a lot of time balancing the game, I'll try to have a more approachable shop design in an updated version of this game. And a faster pace as well.

Thanks for playing!

I did want to add more enemies, and harder waves with faster pace, but I ran out of time. I'll try to take this into account if I make an update for this game.

Thank you for playing!

you can hold the mouse button to auto-fire, I added a note for that in the description but I guess I'll have to make it clearer.

Thank you for playing!

Yeah I found out about this bug today, kinda embarassing to be honest 😅.

Although, I added a note in the page description to warn players about this bug, I just hope they read it XD

Thank you for playin!

Yup, I absolutely agree with you, but I only had 5 days to make the game, so I had to cut out 2 traps, 1 weapon, and 3 enemies which is why the game might feel like it ended too early..

Nonetheless, thank you for the valuable feedback, and thank you for playing!

Thank you for playing!

You know I put all my time writing the intro text and I just threw the ending text out the window XD

Freezing crystal tower took way to long to add, but it was definitely worth it, I'm glad you liked it :)

Thanks for playing!

Thank you!

Thank you for playing!

Glad you liked the art :D

Thank you so much for playing (even before the page having a cover image :O )!

Really glad you liked the game! Sadly I only worked for 5 days, and it's my first game using Godot engine, so I didn't have time to nail down the power balance very well, that's why the game is a bit short and unbalanced (I balanced everything 30 minutes before the deadline😅)

Nonetheless, thank you for playing!

I got soft locked o.o

The character keeps going up the platform, and never goes to the bottom path...

Bro, you didn't just💀

But in all honesty, this game is really well done, especially the national anthem for the zalamiis.

For a first game, this is honestly really good! The art is phenomenal, I loved how grand it feels when planting the magic seed, and aside from all the problems with physics and bugs (I had those same problems happen to me when I started T-T) this is a great game!

Great job! Can't wait to see what else you will make, and good luck on your game dev journey!

Thank you!

I like this game a lot! There are a lot of plant types, upgrades and enemies! It's a very good tower defense experience! I loved how the enemies progressively got harder and more mechanics got introduced, this game has a well-built progression system! Heck, even enemies started to come from the sides to the tree, completely ignoring the pre-existing pathways (I'm not sure if this was a bug or not, but I love either way!).

The only thing that I got me confused a bit was how the new lanes just popped up from nowhere, I didn't realize instantly that they appeared and played some rounds without realizing that.

Also, some of the plants felt... pointless? Like the daisy flower that shoots in 5 directions, I don't think there is any place where this can be useful, at least on the map you made.

Oh, and one final things, when planting the plants, they move get pushed around a little bit for some reason, is it because they are planted on a grid? It just felt awkward to me…

But other than that, this game is really fun! Great job!

Very cool short game, although a bit repetitive, it was a nice experience.

A couple of things I noticed in the game were:

  • there is little to no challenge in the game, planting the trees over and over is pleasant but gets repetitive really quickly.
  • the "لا تزعج الحيوانات" losing condition was very weird, as there was no indication of it existing in the first place, and it didn't always trigger, I'm a bit confused about it.
  • I'm glad that you managed to put in a settings menu, but the settings menu doesn't work correctly :( lowering the sensitivity only increases it.
  • the menu's color are a bit too colorful and don't exactly match together, dark text on dark background is hard to see.

Overall, very nice game, simple concept and execution for a short jam.

Well done!

This is a very nice game with a very nice concept, the low poly style is very good, I love how the enemies break into parts when they die, it makes it so satisfying to defeat them! I also love the animations (they're so cleeeean).

Although I found a couple of bugs/issues during my gameplay, so I will list them here:

  • The mouse sensitivity is way too high, it is almost impossible to properly aim at the enemies, an option to modify it would be very nice.
  • When looking down, I can see the player capsule, as well as it's and the gun's shadows, it would be a good idea to remove the capsule model as well as the shadows to keep the immersion:

an Image of the shadows and capsule
  • The pause menu is the only menu in English, while all the other menus are in Arabic.
  • If I lose the game, "العودة للقائمة الرئيسية" button does not work, I had to close the game and re-open it.
  • After about 60 seconds, the enemies stopped spawning, I didn't encounter any enemies after that.
  • The trees collisions are not accurate, almost all the trees have their collisions larger than the model size, I keep hitting the invisible tree collision when walking around the map.
  • There are a lot of cool looking tech objects, but I couldn't tell if they do something or not, I'm honestly still not sure.
  • The player speed is a bit too slow, as it is hard to traverse a big map with such a slow speed, it wasn't game breaking, it was just inconvenient.
  • The UI icons at the bottom left of the screen are not explained, I wonder what they are used for…
  • The enemies sometimes drop health packs or these purple gems/coins, as far as I know, the purple gems don't do anything (or I couldn't notice their effect):

an Image of the purple gem/coin
  •  There might be a pipeline importing issue with some of the materials (mainly bullets, enemy drops, and effects) which can be fixed by importing the materials in the settings to whatever the render pipeline you are using.
  • The gun clips into the screen when shooting.
  • The ground texture is super stretched, it looks a bit weird.
  • It's a good idea to make the game automatically pause when it's out of focus (this option can be found under "build settings/ player settings"), so the player doesn't have to manually pause it when they open a different app (also, the music would stop when the game isn't in focus!).

Overall, this game is an enjoyable cute little game, although there are some small issues (I know I may have listed a lot of things, but it's very understandable with the time constraint), it's still a fun game!

Great job, and good luck with your game dev journey!

Interesting game idea, with a very unique execution!
