Game Description
A cosy, tile-based ecosystem building game. Place land tiles on the board to earn points and provide homes for a diverse cast of animals. Place habitat tokens on tiles to attract critters which boost your score and change the tiles around them. As you discover more tiles and more creatures, you'll add more tiles to your bag. See how many points you can earn before you run out of tiles!
How does your game tie into the theme?
A growing amount of nature spreads across a map that starts off small. You start with only dirt and water, but soon the map is brimming with life. You are rewarded for combinations far from basic dirt and water makes grass. The game is playable with only the mouse and is centered around creating different tile combinations.

Very relaxing and chill, felt good to see tiles transforming and critters appear.
Nice job!
Really nice entry. Reminded me a lot of dwarf romantic. The sounds were satisfying, art read really well and was nice to look at and it was fun to unlock things.
Similar to other folks I think being able to see what had been unlocked vs still needed to be unlocked would have been nice. I reached a point where I kept getting the same things and felt like I was just wasting the time/tiles I had left. To be fair though, that is also because I wanted to keep playing. An endless mode would be a nice addition.
Very nice, I like how it's relaxing and the artsyle. I found it quite fun to try new combination of animals with the diferent tiles we unlock. Maybe when the level is finished I would have fancy a restart button, and a way to consult the effects of the discovered tiles, so that i can plan how to optimize my score ^^ (tooltip when cursor is on the tiles maybe). Congrats for you game !
Very relaxing game. I like the aesthetics and the exploration of different combinations.
I wish I could have seen the already discovered ones to strategize my next move even better.
Very nice game!
I’m impressed how well made it is for the number of people and jam experience!
If I had one request: I’d like to see a list of “unidentified”/mystery/who’s_that_pokemon things I haven’t discovered yet ^_^
Thank you for playing and the kind words! And that's a great idea! I'm looking to update the game post jam and will add that to the list ^^
That was a pleasant experience. I wonder whether I discovered all possible combinations/terrains/animals, so I might replay later. My score on the first run was 168.
Congratulations on such a sweet game - I noticed you used godot 3.6, curious: why not latest?
Thanks for playing and glad you enjoyed!
We used V3.6 -.NET because it supports both C# AND web export. It was a bit annoying/awkward because it doesn't come with hex shaped tiles like Godot 4 so there had to be some trickery. It probably would be easier to use version 4 with GD script, but it doesn't feel as transferable/beneficial to my portfolio.
In the future, I might look to see how Godot 4 works with C++ and web exports so I can use the newer features and a common industry language. BUT C++ hurts my brain xD
I really like this game! Lots of interesting combinations and it's fun to discover all the options, and the cumulative effect of the music and gameplay pace is very soothing. :)
Quite relaxing and cozy! I enjoyed discovering all the different kinds of combinations you could stumble on. :D
Loved this chill game, the art is really pretty also ! :)
I really liked it! It's kinda relaxing and the vibes o the graphics are just right! Well done!
Nice work ! Loved the "clicking" sound when placing tiles. Would've loved a "endless" mode to your game !
It really was relaxing.
Great work! love the art and music n.n
Also it was very fun to try to find out what the different combinations did! Reminded us a bit to the game Preserve.
Love the art and the sounds, gameplay is fun and relaxing. I am intrigued to play again to see what combinations and wildlife i can discover.
The replay value is very high! I got a score of 173, but I bet you can go much higher by discovering different species.
Yeah! Annoyed I didn't get the time to get the replay button in or some missions. The highest score so far (by my teammate) is 193. Thanks for playing our game! :D
Really cool gameplay! i loved discovering the new tiles
Cool game, but I'm not sure how the different combinations work.
Thanks for playing and for the feedback :)
Love the artwork and the sounds!!
I loved this game! Super relaxing a fun. The sound effects were really satisfying, and I was actually pretty sad when the game finished - I wanted to keep going!
Thanks for playing! Glad you had fun :D The piano sound effects were made by my teammate, we're both happy with the eco vibes that came out :3
Really charming little game. It was satisfying to unlock new tiles. Nice work!
Thanks for playing and I'm glad you enjoyed :D
Interesting thumbnail which lead me here. I liked the very relaxing music and tone, also the sound effects are a good fit. I enyojed trying to find new combinations and the exploration effect when new tile types were created by placing water nearby etc.
Really cool concept.
Could need a little bit of polish. I finished the game and the end screen shows my score but i have to reload the game to play another round? Please give the player the option to restart. (Probably you ran out of time there)
Very nice! Thanks for creating this!
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed playing :D. Yes, you're right, unfortunately we ran out of time implementing the replay button.
