Thank you for playing and the kind words! And that's a great idea! I'm looking to update the game post jam and will add that to the list ^^

Thanks for playing and glad you enjoyed!
We used V3.6 -.NET because it supports both C# AND web export. It was a bit annoying/awkward because it doesn't come with hex shaped tiles like Godot 4 so there had to be some trickery. It probably would be easier to use version 4 with GD script, but it doesn't feel as transferable/beneficial to my portfolio.
In the future, I might look to see how Godot 4 works with C++ and web exports so I can use the newer features and a common industry language. BUT C++ hurts my brain xD
I really enjoy the concept of a card farming game! The writing here is cool and witty (although sometimes does spill off the screen). Great interpretation of the theme and fantastic art and fun sound effects - very reminiscent of other games in the farming genre.
Similarly to others, I struggled with the tutorial and couldn't make it very far after a few playthroughs with some difficulty with controls and the ui. This was a really cool idea though, I would definitely play a future version.
Hell yeah! This game is awesome. Love this submission. Good job guys. The later levels got quite challenging and really expanded on your concepts, lots of fun and great interpretation of the theme with lots of creativity. I like the art and the lab theme.
If there were to be a later version of this game, I would want a previous turn button so I didn't have to repeat my moves as much as things became more challenging - so the player can really fiddle with the puzzle with ease. A small note on accessibility, is that there's a potential danger of colourblind issues so a texture or pattern on the green slime would be nice. Although, saying that, I am colourblind and managed okay.
I've been told that there's an issue with small screen sizes. If the tutorial box that pops up at the start is blocking your view, you can resize it by grabbing the edges and move it by grabbing just above the top. Then once you are done with the instructions, you can close it by pressing the cross.
Since this isn't a game breaking bug, we won't be fixing this until the end of the game jam rating period. Apologies for the inconvenience!
Love this game! Fantastic precision platformer and level design. Managed to finish it with a bottom of the leaderboard score but had a blast. I can definitely see where speed running was kept in mind and it would be lots of fun for a longer game.
I like how there's no air strafing and you have to learn the jump distance. I like how the levels are designed for the jump distance when tapping w and d (I assume or I look silly). Made me feel like how I felt when I played celeste.
Well executed
I gave it another play after switching to my computer (from laptop) and everything was much smoother. I noticed it more because of mouse pad awkwardness. Definitely not a big issue and really enjoyed the game! I'm not sure if wasd was working on my laptop, otherwise wouldn't have pointed it out lol 🥴 woops!
Really love the graphics of this game. You two managed to get so much done for the jam and it's really impressive. So many great mechanics implemented in 3 days: the upgrades, the reroll for the upgrades, enemy varieties, etc.
Only area of improvement I can think of for this would be more variation in sounds and music. Great job!
