Very tight experience! Nice art, I loved the super low resolution. I would have really liked remappable keys, though, because I don't know type on a Qwerty keyboard, so it took a bunch of getting used to. It's quite hard too - I did maybe ~10 runs and never made it past level 2 :-) Overall, though, a very solid game! Congrats on your first submission for GWJ!

I liked the game! The only downside is the key choice! It would have been easier to make everything using QAED. The fact that I need two hands to play it just made the experience a little not funny.

Fun game! The difficulty accelerates quickly. :) I had to read the comments about a double attack, but I still wasn't if/when it was working for me. Music is catchy and I could see this being fleshed out into a bigger game. Great (edit: first!) submission guys.
Cute little game. I’d suggest not having players re-play the tutorial after failing, as that level felt a bit slow after you got the hang of things.
I like that the enemies had to come to me :) Good style and the sounds effects go pretty well with the music.
Hey cute art I liked how the idle of the main character made them quite lively.
I think it would be nice if you could rebind the keys.
I also found that the sfx were maybe a bit to loud and made it harder to hear the music when you had to attack alot on higher levels, which was a shame since I really liked the music.
It was awesome how the enemies were synced up to the beat :)
Cute and chill rhythm game! Had lots of fun playing it. The music and visuals contribute to the game's unique relaxing feel, which makes it stand out from the flashy and dynamic games in the genre.
Double hit notes are a nice twist, as they definitely add some "reactive" parts to the gameplay. However, I still feel like it would be better to make them stick out a bit. Also, perhaps the life system could be changed so it clears the screen of notes after you lose a life? Otherwise, it's really easy to panic and immediately lose the game.
Reminds me old Game&Watch Nintendo. Very satisfying to play, also it really got good rythm.
I like the music and art, it all feels very homey. The controls at times felt a little clunky but as I got used to it it stopped bothering me as much. Solid game, good job!
I really like game (esp. the aesthetics - those colored outlines when they go in bounds are great), but I'm having a problem where it stops responding to my input and I have to reload the page. :( Also, it seems like the skeletons that come from the right always take 2 hits?
Thanks for your feedback! I also noticed the input issue, it seems when you go fullscreen it stops responding. It’s quite odd too, I’m not doing anything specific to cause that really… Will try to fix it though :)
In terms of taking two hits for skeletons from the right side, I believe it is generally due to the character animation making the hit look later than it is, will try to fix this too!
The backgrounds were quite breathtaking! :) I enjoyed the designed of the enemies and the background art a lot. The mechanics were quite interesting. I found hitting L & P a little easier than hitting A & Q. Also, it seemed like sometimes an enemy would take two hits to kill rather than one and that threw me off.
I was able to make it to the victory screen since the score persisted. A nice ending screen. Good job!
