Web build is working fine in Chrome on dell laptop.

We appreciate very well-thought-out feedback such as this the most.  Thank you for taking the time to play through and give feedback to us.  The feel of the jump is more unified since the last build, and issues with jumping on several levels have been resolved (fingers crossed). There are a  number of other tidying elements and credits that are spawned after completing L9, but in general, we've gotten to a place that we like. There's no guarantee we will pick back up a project in a new session, but if enough players let us know they like something then sometimes we will.

Hi y'all-

Try this out and let us know anything specific you come across or think up in making our play experience better. Any bugs/glitches? Report them here. Just have a random suggestion? We'd like to hear that too.

Best,

MonRiverGames Fall 2022 team

Is it terrible that I want a high score board? ...I couldn't stop playing. It was simple, silly, I enjoyed this alot.

I liked the reloading timing/animation, but the pacing did feel slow- Like it was the same challenge each night. As others suggested, good core start with.

Neat!

Nice dating sim. It's always neat to see the stories created for these.

Creative, unique entry. Good pacing and use of mechanics. Cute art!

Nice, clever puzzle game. I enjoyed this one a lot.

This also made me smile. It's been a long week and I didn't realize how much I needed this game. Very creative mechanic idea. Great work! The art could use some polishing, but also the simplicity complements it so *shrug*. :)

Cute way to do some terraforming. Enjoyed this one! Congrats on getting it done :)

Can't play it. They'd let you reupload for game breaking stuff.

Fun exploration game! I was glad this ran pretty smoothly. The webGL 3D games have a tendency to crash on me here.

Neat! Fun platformer, I also enjoyed the extra insomnia and naptime mechanic implemented. Great work for a week!

This was really cute. Loved the art and music especially.  For the notebook, I recommend leaving about a finger space (maybe 1 cm or 1/2 inch) between the text and edges. Layouts look uncomfortable for text when there's no spacing around them. Neat game. I enjoy it alot :)

Neat! It felt like a good challenge to land on the other platforms under the correct speed.

I loved everything about this. I understood pretty quickly what I was supposed to do.  I like how it is 'tower defense' but its implementation is simpler than standard tower defense types. We also made one this week and the classical structure is a bit of a challenge.

Thank you for taking the time to play through it. I'm glad you enjoyed it and could find another take on it. Yes! The template I started with for development had a block that turned off labeled 'enemy' and after some thought, I realized I could repurpose them to reveal the picture and words . Meanwhile, the 'traps' that were originally created for a level respawn were repurposed as the 'enemy' to avoid.  Thanks again <3

Cute and challenging :)

I really appreciate games that go in a different direction than usual. Nice, unique approach. Kind of reminds me of Her Story with how we interact with the interface. Love this.

Nice job! The pacing of each level is well thought out as well.

Congrats on your entry :) I also found the traps to be more challenging than fun, as Trencher put it. Perhaps some sort of indicator to give you a warning would solve this- or allow the trap to remain broken/used so you don't run into it again after dying.  That would let novice players use elimination to figure their way through while still keeping it challenging on more advanced players. They could have a reward for making it through with less death. Great aesthetic and overall feel.

I like that the enemies had to come to me :) Good style and the sounds effects go pretty well with the music.

Nice, innovative, take on a classic game.

I enjoyed this immensely. Great pacing of the introduction to each mechanic. Excellent design. It took me some time, but I made it to the end scene.

Overall the mechanics work great and the art/music go well with it. Design-wise, we're playing a tiny portion of the overall screen. While the art part of me likes this as I see the whole level map, the player part of me would like the camera to be zoomed in more so that the action/play takes up more of the screen. That would also increase the challenge.

The graphics and overall feel is good. I won every battle, but I'm not sure how I won it.  It did not seem like I was moving  at all with any of the wasd or arrows(I was button mashing), but still shooting lots of little pixels out.  I bought a soldier just fine and used him as well.

(1 edit)

Short and simple demo of a dig mechanic. Love the background music.

I have discovered that, no, I am not persistent enough. Nice little puzzle movement with a pixel theme.

Thank you! ♥️

Thanks- I appreciate it.

The only thing that would level this up more is sound. Great concept and unique play. It took a few tries of managing the different elements to make it to the end, but victory was mine.

The method of play and art worked together well. I'd prefer to be able to remap to do keyboard controls instead of mouse for this type of movement due to laptop's trackpad. The death ability, and the ability to eat our ancester was a fun extra. It's clear this was all well thought out.

For being a vent piece, this was super weird (I like weird) and fun. I had no idea what was going on, but still managed to move forward and enjoy it. I feel your pain- this was my first attempt at using this particular engine. There were some supreme moments of frustration this week with it. Good for you for getting it in :)

I also could not move in the web version (tried firefox and chrome). The art and sound compliment it well. I'll try it again on a download version soon.

The art, especially the 'glitch' for shift was great.  Experimenting with that mechanic was fun.  I could not get to the goal, but had fun playing.

Good use of the bats as part of the climb.  Maybe add some waypoints in the event we get halfway up and stuck because we killed the enemies too soon.

Excellent use of cards to determine mechanics.  That was fun and interesting. I couldn't get very far though. *sad face* I'll try again later!

The beginning title animation is super cute.
