Fun stuff! I wish more games had this Epic War / Age of War gameplay.
I would have preferred to be able to preview the trajectory but that would make the game much easier in the current state and it’s probably not an easy feature to make.
Good art too!
I loved the art for this game, and everything felt really good to do. Having the spells change so that I have to consistently change my aim in order to make sure I hit my shots was a good design choice, especially because not all enemies die to all types.
I found the game extremely difficult though. Once I got to the levels where the third enemy showed up I stopped playing. Part of the difficulty is that I am not looking at what spell I am casting, I'm looking at the enemies, and I would get tripped up on where to aim. It's hard to visualize each trajectory, a lot of times I got a good one through luck.
Good job though!
Nice game. Good visuals! Transforming enemies feels juicy. I think it would be more engaging if enemies would come from both sides, cause once you find good trajectory you just need to spam until win.
nice game.
I really love the audio feedback and particle effects. Plus, you implemented that wild card very well!
The one part that kept tripping me up was the wall-colored obstacles that block projectiles. I couldn't easily tell where they were, causing some expected hits to disappear early. I thought it was a bug until I finally pinpointed the shapes.
Anywho, great entry!
It's super cute, I love this transmutation wildcard! :)
The flying pigs and snowman are soo cool.
Congrats on the entry! ^_^
Really cool idea mixing artillery and tower defense!
Love the pixel art, too.
Most of my shots were very rapid shots close to the portal forming a "cascade" of magic because I wasn't able to stop the enemies otherwise. That's probably not the intended way to play it, but I was too slow try to aim without success. xD
The window was too big for my monitor at first and had to resize it.
Also, at some point the sound just stopped for unknown reasons.
Everything was perfect, except the weird spell location indication, it was hard to pinpoint where you were going to land the spell and by then it was too late. But everything else, the art style, music and gameplay elements were fantastic!
The gameplay was fun to play. I liked how spells did not work on certain enemies, so it added a bit of challenge to choose who you would target.
Art for the game was great. Loved how the pigs flew up in the air.
I found it hard to cast a spell to a specific location. Maybe an indicator to show where it will land could be helpful as most of my frustration involved having to adjust and remember trajectory for each spell. But that could just be me.
Overall, I enjoyed playing the game.
I love the pig spell, great way to use the Transmutation wild card! I like the art as well!
Art and sound effects are outstanding! A visible projectile prediction would be really helpful as I cannot really aim enemies(heroes) properly . . . maybe it is just me
Fun! It's an interesting main mechanic. I really like the graphics style, and the audio fits really well too! Something about the pig sound for the pig spell lol, but it is just sometimes a little hard to know what exactly is an obstacle and what is just a piece of the background. Maybe also put a little indicator line for where each shot is about to be fired for even more visual clarity? Overall it's really fun though, I had a good time playing it :D
