I liked the art, I always love one art with a very minimal color pallete. And it was an interesting concept, but the game could really use some more explanation and feedback. The how to play section is bit much and hard to remember everything, and I wasn't entirely sure what I was doing.

The moving the player to take control of a monster seems clunky and unnecessary, but that's probably because there is no selection marker. I couldn't tell when I had the player, a monster, or no one selected, and the unselection after every move was annoying. Sometimes I'd select the player, move to a monster to control it, and then try to move it to another monster but then accidently click the monster instead and move it.

Once I got the hang of it, it was more fun, but one hero is totally capable of wiping you out because they can jump and kill monsters faster than I can move my hero and convert them.

Good job on completing the game! Good art and a good concept!

Love the aesthetics :) The controls feel a bit weird but thats maybe the web version, idk. Very nice short entry!

Despite the instructions it took me two tries to figure out what to do. After that it was actually incredibly easy to just spawn camp the heroes at their village :D I loved the ambience

Developer

Spawn-camping the heroes will make the spawn rate ramp up a lot faster

I didn’t quite get what I was supposed to do, perhaps a selection marker (like in strategy games) would’ve been useful. But still, congrats on getting your game submitted!

I thought I was doing very poorly but apparently I defeated the dark lord. I love the concept, the graphics and the audio, but using the mouse for selecting moving targets is very tricky. And we soom to lose control pretty soon. Also the heros seem to be moving just way too fast imo. Still, great entry!

Developer

The Dark Lord being defeated is what you want to hold off. You can keep converting monsters as long as they keep appearing. When the heroes defeat the dark lord, the game ends, because there's no more money to make.

Ah! Okay, that explains things! :)

Cool idea, but i had troubles figuring out what i was supposed to do and the selection is a bit wanky.

Nice concept, love the graphics, but had some difficulty with selecting the player or monsters. Maybe keep them selected after moving? And when a hero 'jumped' towards a monster, there was almost no time to select a monster to defeat that hero - before the hero would chain-jump towards the castle

Overall lovely submission!

Fun entry! I found it a little hard to know exactly what was selected sometimes, and I couldn't work out the controls at all without reading the 'how-to' text. I liked the style and the concept though, and it definitely worked with the theme!! Trying to prolong a war for as long as possible to steal the combatants and make money from them 😁😁 Good stuff!
