Nice game mechanics with great visual feedback. I really like the electricity effect. One thing : I didn't get how to play it at first, it was pretty confusing, so maybe try to improve that :).

Hi Metalmastery! Thanks for trying it out. You might have experienced a bug, or you might have tilted the cursor a little back after connecting to a node: after spawning, the electrical beams become walls you can crash on. Sometimes that happened to me when my hand was a bit shaky after landing on a node, or if I took a turn on a very tight angle (because the raycast would then hit the wall).
Yep, I played on touchpad, so it might be shaky fingers:)
My god, it took me a while to figure out the number represented the number of connections required and not time... I was like, why is the time running out so fast on meeee! Until I finally read the text lol.
Anyway, this is a really nice looking game. I like the simplistic design, low amount of colors used which produce great overall effect. The music is okay as well. Cheers for this cool entry, keep up good work! :)

I really like your color palette selection and all the tiny animations and level transitions. The background music is good, but the game play could probably use a bit more audio feedback.
Hello iwilliams! Thank you for playing and for the feedback, I'm growing to be a big fan of your work. I totally agree with you: sound design is definitely rushed and I regret that, it's gonna be my first update post-jam. There is a very subtle sound for connecting nodes, but it drowns in the bass. In the future I think I need to save a full day for sound and music.

This is a really good game! It's so polished :) I love the electricity animation. The gameplay was simple to understand but easy to ramp up in difficulty. The transitions between levels felt so smooth as well.
Personally though, it took me a while to realize that there was an end node required. Maybe make the end node more obvious? It has some designs right now but I think it's too subtle.
I can imagine this being a mobile game! Cheers!

Nice work! I think the audio really fits the theme of the game well. Like other comments mention, the particle effects are very cool and it really does look like electricity! Menu and overlay effects add a polished feel as well. As a heads up, I did have trouble with audio on the HTML version, but the downloaded version was much better!
Hi BrokenCogGames! Thanks for trying it and for the kind words. Audio was a bit rushed and I think I could have done better with smoothing the effect transition and also adding some preloading in order to make it cleaner on startup, I also experienced stuttering on HTML5. That's another lesson learnt!

How did you make the electrical currents look so nice?
Hi spoonsweet, thanks for playing! Each beam is made of 3 Line2D nodes. Each Line2D has a starting and an ending point. In between those points, I sample extra points (e.g. I used a 10 pixel step). For each of these extra points, I randomly offset their position over the axis perpendicular to the main line's direction within a range. This will give you a jagged line, which I recreate every X milliseconds. I use different frequencies on the 3 different lines. Then I also randomize their Line2D width curve parameter, to randomly make the line thicker or thinner in different sections. Finally, I use additive blend mode on the CanvasMaterial and a slightly transparent modulate.
